For those who got pregnant on the pill what made you think you were pregnant - did you miss a period or did you still have a bleed when you had your 7 day break?

Your question made me smile, because it made me think about the time ( 6 years ago) when it happened to me !
I did bleed for the first month, but then the bleeding stopped.My pill was changed by my doctor , and I was told that I may or may not bleed during the break. So...when I didn't bleed, and as I already had a young baby, I didn't think anything of it !
I was in denial, even though all the symptoms were there ! At one point...I was convinced that I had a " tumour" !! How ridiculous eh ?
It was my husband that finally made me take a pregnancy test.. about 4 months later,.and it was positive !
I think, that if you have a suspicion that you may be pregnant, it's worth taking a test, at least you will know one way or another then.
The female body is a very complicated thing, and each one different to the next .

No form of contraception is 100% thats why you are always advised to use condoms and the pill. I fell pregnant when I was on the pill...I just had bad period cramps and mood swings but no bleeding. I felt quite sick around 3 weeks late too. I had a miscarriage but if you think you are pregnant get a test and stop smoking and drinking to be on the safe side. xx

i got pregnant on the pill with my third i started getting moody and tierd everyone said it was the pill injection as it can do that to you. but then i got really bad morning sickness i knew but i did 5 home test and they all came back negative i waited and did a 6th and that was positive i was 2 months gone
i got pregnant 2 more times using differrent kinds of pills and contracepition so in the end i was steralised at 29 worst thing i ever did

a friend of mine was on the pill and still having periods as normal..she went the whole 9months without knowing..she only found out when the baby appeared..she had no weight gain or any other symptoms!!!..obviously the pill doesnt work 100% of the time!!

Lots of little things! I had regular periods 'til I was 3 mths but the sickness, going off coffee and feeling strange were all clues. Do an early bird test to be sure, if you are at least you'll know, if your not you tend to find your period starts quite soon after wasting £10!!!!

I just didn't feel right and then only reason that i could think of as to why would be that i was pregnant. so i took the test and it came back neg so i ended up taking like 6 tests and 1 at the doctors and the only one that came back positive was my doctors.

Presumably were you not taking your pill properly? You'd start putting on weight I guess. The only way of knowing for sure is to do a test.

I was a month late and took 2 home pregnancy tests and they were positive. And I just knew I felt really weird and I went to take a sip of a beer once and felt really funny and dizzy so I just knew.

If you are pregnant, you won't have your period even if you are on the pill.

When i got pregnant on the pill i got a period.But stop taking them if u think u r cause they can harm your unborn child!
