Pregnancy - September 2006

I had a ceserean with my first child but I was completely out. I'm about to have my 2nd ceserean but was wondering if the dr cuts the umbilical cord or does the husband choose to?

I know w/ normal labor he would get to do it but I was wondering about ceserean.

I am 5'9 and gaining weight like crazy. I dont over eat. I do give into cravings once in a while. Ive cut back salt and am trying very hard to cut back sugar, I cant seem to stop gaining weight. Before i got preg. I didnt eat more than once a day due to a family tragity. could my motabilizem be off from that?

I have been havin irregular periods for the past 3 years. When I was with my ex, we had unprotected sex for a year and never got pregnant. I do not have unprotected sex any more, but I am active. I've never used birth control. Sometimes my periods come at the beginning of the month, sometimes at the end. Sometimes I have 2 periods, sometimes they last 7 days, sometimes they last 4. And sometimes I get it every month, sometimes 3 months later. I heard that irregular periods are linked to inferitlity. Could this mean I could be infertile and not have kids in the future?

A girl in my grade went to a wedding a few weeks ago with her family i from what she said someone put drugs in her drink so she couldnt remember anything from the night. So today she says she found out she was pregnant. With the exception of her best friends I was the first guy she told this to. She said that i was the only guy she knew who would have a practical understanding answer. She told her parents and they dont know who it might have been either. She also said when she has her baby she wants me to be the so called "Father Figure". What should i do to help her and what is the best way to help her?

8 days ago I found out I was pregnant. I took 3 different tests and had many symptoms so I have no doubt that I was pregnant. Two days ago I took another test and it came out negative, this prompted me to take 2 more tests and they all came out negative. I have not experienced any bleeding whatsoever. I took a blood test, but the results may not come back for two days. Does anyone have any experience with this? My heart is breaking.

When I first became pregnant my doctor said I had an abnormal pap, that something might be wrong and I would have to have a coloscopy, (biopsy) done after the baby was born. Has anyone had this happen before and when you finally got your results back, what were they?

ok here's my story. in july i had my normal period and the day after i ended i had sex. the next day i woke up and i was spotting. i didnt think anything of it. i was getting sick everyday and had all the symptoms, but i didnt believe it. then i took a home pregnency test and it came back negative. so i forgot all about it. now i feel like im getting bigger, and my breasts feel bigger and awkward. i have frequent urination and all the symptoms back. am i just imaginging all this. i have before, but it wasnt like this.

I seen this website that tells you what sex your baby is by the time of conception and the mother's age. Does any one else believe that? I tried it for my son.. and it did say I was having a boy. The reason I ask is because I want to have a GIRL but really aint sure if that worked.. or It was jus luck that I had a boy

I work with and am good friends with the female. At work, we sit side by side. They have been trying for a while. My husband and I just recently started trying and already have results. I asked her how she would like me to handle it if we did become pregnant and she said she would want me to handle it the same way I do with everything else with her. However, when she talks about other friends that are pregnant it is a stressful and troublesome issue for her.

My parents have a "Grandparents Wall" in their living room. Each of the grandchildren have an 8x10 picture up. To let them know that I was pregnant, I gave them a picture frame with a note in it that said "to be replaced by actual photo during or after April 2007. I'm interested in hearing some stories of how other people told their family and friends.
