I am 4-7 days late for my period. I have taken several pregnancy tests and they are all negative. The only symptom I have is tender swollen breasts. I had light cramping in one side the other day. I am usually always on time, could I still be pregnant? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Probably you are just late. Or, sometimes our bodies just mess with us and skip a month. (Just to stress us out.)

Tender breasts can also be a sign of PMS.

Try not to worry too much and take another pregnancy test in a week or two. If you are really stressing, go to a clinic and take one of theirs.

But, yes, you can have a false negative. It doesn't happen often, but can happen.

Yes - apparantly when you do tests they cant come up that your pregnant when your not because your body doesnt release the hormone thats checked in your pee - but as your only a few days late it may be too early for the test - leave it a few days and do another one and yes my first pregnancy test many years ago came up saying I wasnt but I did another one a week later and with different results.

yes you could be pregnant ! it all depends really on the amount of hgc hormone your body produces , i always get a positive result at about 7 days after my missed period but maybe i produce more hormones. you should try it again in a week and see what happens or go to the doctor , a simple blood test can tell you if you're pregnant before a hpt can even detect the hormone !

Sounds like you could be. Wait a week or two and re-take the test. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for hormones to show up in urine. Light cramping could be egg implanting on uterine wall. It was the same scenario for me when I found out I was pregnant.

It's hard to say. Pregancy tests aren't ALWAYS accurate, but if you've taken multiple ones I would think they would be correct. There is always that possibility, though.

As for tender breasts, don't think that it is a sure sign of pregnancy. It is something that is usually associated with the few days to a week before your period starts.

I haven't personally had the experience, but I do know a friend who had taken the test, had the doctors take a test and they kept coming back negative. She was pregnant.

If you think you may be pregnant, this means that you're sexually active, correct? There is always a risk of becoming pregnant no matter what protection you use. Go to see a doctor to know for sure. Dollar store tests aren't always accurate.

I think you should wait another week or two before testing again because it might be too soon. Or you can goto the doctors and they could take a blood test, that is 100% accurate.. (Good Luck)!!!!

yes you can.. if you want you can go to the doctor and have a blood test done if that would help ease your mind.. your hcg levels may be low that's why the hpt test is showing neg.

Yes and I ended up having an ectopic pregnancy...... OTC tests usually do not detect ectopics please get a test from your doc especially with the symptoms you are having... best of luck.
