My doctor told me in my last trimester that I could have a glass of wine for my anniversary and a glass of champagne for my mothers wedding. I am becoming a foster parent and we started to talk about FAS an dit scared me.My son is now a heathy 11 mounth old boy but could he have future problems I don't know about. I should not have listened to my doctor but I was stupid kid who thought doctors know everything. Please don't be mean I feel guilty already. I am really not a bad person or mother.

I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl. My pregnancy with her was perfect! Then it cam to delivery and EVERYTHING went wrong! She was born by emergency c-section, testing postive for group B strep, and meconinium asspriation (she inhaled a bowel movement in uterto) and spent a month in the NICU. I'm terrified of going through that agian! I want another baby and so does my husband but I am completly TERRIFED of going through that agian! BTW, I have to have another c-section because of the way they had to do the first and I will be ATLEAST 2 weeks early because of that so the chances of those things happening agian are slim, but the were slim to begin with!

I'm getting married next year and need to get on birth control. I know that the pill and shot are both effective, but I hate the idea of pumping hormones into my body (I have 2 friends now that have had complications do to the pill). Are there any other reliable forms of birth control that are hormone free... preferably not condoms..

Thanks for the help!

My husband & I just had our first child and want to wait a while before having another. The pill is not suitable for me, neither of us like the way condoms feel, diaphragm seems messy and high maintenence... I'd like to hear from people who have used the sponge. Price? Effectiveness? Is it messy? Can you feel it? is it hard to retrieve? That's really five questions so many thanks!

I was just put on birth control, September 5th, and on September 9th, I had sex with my boyfriend. We used a condom, spermicidal, and he came in me. Our problem was that the condom slipped off, we think it slipped off as he fully exited me. Because it was half in me, half out. We think that if it would have come off before, it would have been actually in me. But, as he exited it slipped off. All the sperm was in the condom, and we don't think any sperm came out, if there was, it was very little & probably already dead because we used a spermicidal condom, but I had some spotting on September 12th. I know that's way too soon for implantation bleeding, & spotting is a symptom of birth control, if I had a bit of spotting.. could I even be pregnant, even knowing the situation? My period is due Sept. 23rd around there because I have irregular periods.. so what do you think?

Not for midwives or Bradley folks... I want to know if the common person knows the short and/or long term effects of an epidural on a baby and labor/delivery. My guess is "no".

this is my first baby and my hubby and i aren't doing all that well financially. i'm shy and got overwhelmed at my wedding and wedding shower. i just wanted to hide in the bathroom and cry. it was just too much to take in and people were bossing me around, i didn't like the focus being on me. we really need the stuff that i would get at a shower though.

my mom said i could send birth announcements and people would still give me stuff but i dont' think they would. i live in a small town in michigan and their all kind of hillbilly around here (blunt but true)
