In 1999, I had surgery to correct a curvage of my spine. I also suffer from Cerebral Palsy. I was told by many MD's that I can't and some I can have a child as long as I take procautions, What should I do?

I'm not sure about the rod in your back, but my best friend had a baby and she has Cerebral Palsy. She had to have a c-section.

Pray about it put it gods hands.
I know a woman that had a child and she had a curvy spine.
You have to weight the pros/cons about the child having birth defects or carrying the gene that would cause them to have simular issues. If your fine with that. Rock on!

Follow the advice of the doctor you feel has your best health intentions in mind. Don't go with the professional that just says what you want to hear but with one that cares about you now and in the future.

Talk to a high risk pregnancy specialist who only deals with high risk pregnancy's. They might cost you a little bit more money because you might have to travel to see them, but if you really want a child and you want both you and the baby to be totally healthy(who would want anything less) then I would highly recomend one. There is one in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area who is a highly acclaimed specialist. His name is Bany Tabor. He is a very pleasant man. He helped me alot with my pregnancy. I hope this helps you. Good luck

I don't know why it would be unsafe. The rod in your spine should not affect any potential offspring.

And just what do you desire to hear from these 'expert' strangers?
All we can offer is 'stranger sympathy'. It's not real, is it?
Good luck, what ever you chose!
