That is in perfect timing. Every pregnant woman goes threw this. Your body is spending alot of time adjusting and not worrieng about if you are sleepy. Just make sure you take a mid day nap. try aroound one - three. Then get up. Its tough at first. But I have two girls and they keep me going. I have to get up.

This is perfectly normal. When I was pregnant, both times, I was extremely tired for the first trimester. It is your body's way of telling you something is going on, and I need to relax some. You will probably be tired for a while until you get to the point to where your body is used to it. then by that time, you will be ready to give birth...LOL

The best thing I can suggest is to get as much sleep as you can every night, and when you are tired during the day, take short cat naps if you can. Even 20 minutes will help re-energize you.

I hope this helps, and congrats.

i went through the exact same thing. It's sooooo normal. As long as youre home .. and you can ... I say sleep as long as you want. It will eventually wear off in like a month or 2. By the time I was 4 mos I had my energy back and was able to go back to cooking, cleaning, etc. Right now you probably feel like youre so tired you'd rather shoot yourself in the face than be this tired, huh? I know the feeling. When you get your energy back ... do as much as possible ... like spring cleaning ... cuz the sleepiness will most likely come back toward the end of your pregnancy.

You will need more rest at this time because your body is busy creating a little life. Your resources are being used up for the baby right now, but once you start taking your vitamins and able to eat your meals without stomach upset, you should pick up some energy. If you continue to have this problem and any other problems, make sure to check with your doctor.

Your body is creating another human being...it's taking all your energy to do this as well as all the nutrients and things you put into it. Not to mention that you're going through huge hormonal changes. You will be exhausted for a while...get as much rest as you can, don't worry about cleaning but keep yourself hydrated and fed...your little one is depending upon it. My hsband is Navy too and he has been deployed for 3 months now, i'm 3 days overdue and he'll be home next week...i've been thankful in a way that i've been able to vegitate and do nothing....take advantage of it!!! Congratulations and good luck.

I was wondering the same thing. I am so very tired at 11 weeks. I remember being tired when I was pregnant with my first .. but never this tired. I went to bed at 2:30 am ( I worked untill 12am) and I didnt get up untill almost 3 pm! Even then my hubby had to go and wake me or I would have slept through the whole day!

It is quite normal to be very tired in the beginning of your pregnancy, your body is doing a lot of work. Make sure that you are eating well and taking your vitamins. If it continues to interfere with daily livivng you may want to contact your doctor just in case. I take two naps a day and still sleep 10 hours a night.

Being tired is normal - Im a little concerned that your sleeping all day and night (but it seems that everyone else who has answered seems to think that that is normal too)

Make sure that you are eating regular meals and eating healthy food - not eating regularly will make you have no energy
When you do get up. stretch your body - you can enroll in a yoga class or buy a instructional yoga video. Yoga helped me to feel healthier and stay in shape and have energy.

It is totally normal to be that tired at that point...If I didn't have to drag my bootie up and out of bed and go to work I would have slept all the time too!!!

Just enjoy the fact that you can sleep, cause you've got MANY restless, sleepless nights ahead of you...I think this sleepy thing is natures way of preparing the bod for lack of sleep...If only I could get some good sleep again...

Your body is going through changes and that is what is making you extremely tired. Did your doctor provide you with prenantal pills? If yes, you should take them, it might give you more energy.

I had the same problem at the beginning of my pregnancy but after the first trimester I felt alot better. I could not even take my prenatal pills because it made me feel worse.. I hope that you feel better, I know you will... (Good Luck)!!!!
