Im a 21 year old NYU male college student. I'm kinda sure that I don't want kids, but I want to make sure that I won't have kids in the future. This is because I can imagine that I'll probably will want kids one day in the future when I'm 30 or something, but the world is wayyy too overpopulated and I think it would be cruel to bring a son or daughter into such a crappy world even if I really wanted to. So I just want to make sure that that doesnt have a chance to happen. So, where do I go to get sterilized? Does it hurt? Am I too young to get sterilized? Any side effects? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

We live out of state so face-to-face isn't really an option. My only idea so far is to send personalized bibs for the baby to use when it's at their houses - "I love my grandma," " i love my uncle john," etc.

I took Plan B about a week ago...I don't keep very good track of my period cycle, though i think I should be starting it about now...I could be wrong though.
Usually before my period, I have some spotting that I didn't have when I was taking birth control. Is it possible that the Plan B would have the same effect on my hormones, or whatever it is that controls that, as the birth control would, or is it possible for it to make my period a bit different than normal?

This sounds really strange im sure but it seems to me like I am over excited for my baby to get here. Im 36 weeks pregnant and I cant wait to see my baby girls face. Its almost like Im obsessed with her arrival. I sit in her room and look at all her stuff for hours. i talk to her everyday and shes all i think about and worry about. I know that there is the nesting phase of pregnancy but Im way past that and I know that its normal to be an excited mother but overly? I just dont want her to be distressed because Im obsessed with her. I cant imagine her being here. i already love her so much and it doesnt seem possible to love her anymore when shes here but I hope I calm down a little. Does every woman go this crazy?

My cousin had the surgery a couple of years ago, and has kept all the weight off, but she still can't eat very much at a time, and she just found out she's pregnant. How will this affect the baby?

Is it ok to take a First Resonse test 1 day before your missed period in the evening? Or should I wait until tomorrow in the very early morning? Will my pee be different in the evening and will it be less effective?

I was about 95-100 pounds and 6 weeks pregnant and heavly heavly using pure crystal meth when I found out I was pregnant. I have a horrible problem with that nasty stuff. I can now say I am completely clean and healthy at a good 124 pounds now. I am just super worried about my baby. I saw a child that the mother used the entire pregnancy and he was retarted and it made me so sad. It also made me angry at the mother but most of all really worried about my baby. This is my first pregnancy and is hard. The father is still using and selling. I moved to a small town and live alone. I just want my baby to be healthy. If anyone can help me know more about my situation, I would greatly appreciate you! Thanks, Ashley

Alot of people here have been saying walk more, have sex and do some house work...that shoud get you going. Im 37 weeks and 4 days. I did actually do 2 of these things very recently and last night I could not sleep due to braxton hicks.....right? My doc said change positions when they come and they should go away if they are braxton hicks. DID NOT GO AWAY. but they were not like 15-10 minutes apart either. varied. some close, some not. I still had them up into this morning, and some here and there. Braxton hicks right? even though moving, walking, WATER or shower is not making them go away? Have not noticed if plug came out so when do i be concerned?

Being pretty terrified of hospitals and the idea of being stuck on a hospital bed for hours having my baby (I tend to associate hospitals with death and illness I guess) I want to have my baby in a birth centre.

I have been advised to go to a birth centre which is attached to a hospital. That way if anything goes wrong its not too far to take you up the the ward for emergency treatment.

The thing is, with a birth centre, the emphasis is on natural birth - YOU CANNOT HAVE AN EPIDURAL! And as everyone seems to think that epidurals are the only way to handle birth pains, I'm not sure what the benefits are of a birth centre.

I am terrified of vomiting and so am nervous about using gas and air or pethidine (I've heard neither are very effective as painkillers) both of which can make you sick, but there is no other pain releif in the birth centre. I have been advised to try TENS and a waterbirth but I don't know if that will be enough releif if labour is as bad as I've heard.
