How does bariatric surgery affect pregnancy?

My cousin had the surgery a couple of years ago, and has kept all the weight off, but she still can't eat very much at a time, and she just found out she's pregnant. How will this affect the baby?

My cousin is going through the same thing. She just had her's in October and is now five months pregnant. She has only gained four pounds, but the baby is fine. Just tell your cousin to eat healthy and make sure she takes her vitamins. She might possibly be considered high risk so she will probably go to doctor a lot more than normal.
