I was moving furniture when I was pregnant. Doctors say not to lift over a certain weight but unless you already have serious complications there shouldnt be any problems with lifting your nephew.

Think about it. Back in the olden days women worked constantly from morning till night tending to kids, house cleaning, etc.

At 37 weeks, I don't think I'd be bending over picking up your nefue. It would be ok to hold him in your lap but not pick him up.

Thats funny I am 39 weeks pregnant and my nice is 1 1/2 and I have been wondering the same thing. I actually just talked to my ob about it and she said it was fine just don't strain yourself to do it, I told her my stomache will ache up high when I left, she said it was because I was not use to lifting the extra weight but was completely safe to my baby. hope that helps

You have a what?

If you're used to holding it, it should be ok.

Maybe don't lift anything heavy, but sitting and holding is most likely ok...ask the dr.

Yes, it is fine to hold your 'nephew' while you are pregnant. Your little one is well protected.

You may not want to lift him, especially if you are not used to it, but holding is no problem.

Try not to lift him if you can avoid it, but if you must, you'll be fine, just be very careful!
