Please help me with this one. I went to a pregnancy clinic today and took a regular test and it came back negative but the lady there told me that it sounds like I have the symptoms and my breasts have been very sore for 2 weeks now and are still hurting. What should I do and what are the other symptoms?

When I first became pregnant the vaginal-ultrasound measured the sac at 4wks 4days. Then a couple wks later another measured the embryo at 7wks 4days, about 1week and a few days off. Which one is most accurate?

Considering that only 20 percent of pregnancies ever have any serious problems, would you rather have your child in a calm environment at home, unassisted, or in a hospital where people will be coming in to check on you every ten minutes and may induce the labor before the baby is ready?

I have to fill out a birth plan sheet for my nurse/midwife and one of the questions asks if I want a hep lock. I have no idea what it is or whether many women get them. Help.

For those of you who have had babies. Do you prefer to deliver with or without an epidural? I gave birth twice one with and one without and felt the one without just went by alot faster.

i am thirty eight weeks pregnant and to be quite frank, traumatic amounts of stress have freckled my entire pregnancy. there have been close deaths in my family, an accident leaving my brother paralized, my husband abandoning me without a word almost four months ago, losing my job, being homeless...

it has been a horrible pregnancy, and things are only getting worse.

i am afraid for this baby, for the things he is having to endure whilst trapped in my stomach. now that i have an apartment and some stability i really feel in my own heart that it would be best that the baby be removed from the chaos. having a live person i can handle, i am just not caring for myself or him right now as we're a joint unit.

i want to approach my doctor about inducing labor.

has anyone had any experiance or words of advice? at this point the baby is fully developed and if things were less complicated i would never hurry mother nature...but i feel this is the best thing i can do at this point

My husband and I plan to get pregnant with our first child next year. We will be together a total of 6 years when our baby is born (if all goes right)! I am 23 and he is 25 right now.

I have run into a lot of people who make comments that are meant to discourage me from getting pregnant.

People say things like:

Why would you want to have a kid now when you can have babies when you are in your 30’s instead

When you have a kid you can forget ever seeing anyone or leaving your house

When you have your baby you will never get to spend time with your husband anymore

Then there are those people that just ramble on about how hard it is to have a kid and how you have to sacrifice so much.

I understand what it means to be a parent and we are ready to be parents and share our love with children. :)

Why do so many people have such a negative outlook on being a parent?

I have a family history of miscarriages in the first trimester. I'm only a month along, is there anything I can do to help prevent anything from happening? I'll obviously go see a doctor, but sometimes other women who have been through the same thing know best!

I have had my piercing for a few years, when I get pregnant I don't want it to close up.

I may not want to wear it after I give birth depending on how I look, but I want to keep it open just in case.

Did you wear your ring until you had to take it out? Is there a special ring I can buy for pregnant women?

Any advice?

After you take the test and it's positive, then what do you do? Do you make an appointment right after you find out? With who? Your gyno, is that who you see about pregnancy? Is the gyno you see for your yearly paps then one that takes care of your pregnancy? VERY CONFUSED!!! :) Thanks
