try looking in a phone book and calling around - you can ask some questions or set up an interview- if you know a hospital you would like to deliver at, find a doctor who delivers at that hospital

You can go to a family doctor - at least my family doctor does OB/GYN stuff as well - if you really like your family doctor

Spend some time looking into this - you want to be comfortable with your doctor - you will be seeing them alot the next 9 months!

Good luck!!

This may be not so nice, but are you on welfare? If you are, you will have a hard time finding a physician who will take care of you. If that is the case, you need to go to your family physician and get a refferal or go to your local planned parenthood and they can help you find a doctor.

Call your insurance company...they'll give you a list of doctors in your area who are accepting new patients. If you're uninsured, just look in the yellow pages under "physicians" and find the ob/gyn section. Keep calling until you find one who is accepting new patients.

Ask your regular doctor for a referral. Also, if your friends' doctors aren't taking patients, ask if they have a practice/doctor they recommend. Definitely "interview" them first. It's so important to be comfortable with your doc.
Good luck.

start calling ob/gyn clinics, and if for some reason you don't like the doctor you got, try another one until you find the one...that's what I did and now I have the best doctor ever.... if you would rather see a female doctor than a male, make sure you let them know otherwise they'll just send you to anyone...
