someone did a study on old wives' tales and found them to be 50% true. So, there is a 50% chance that if you are craving sweets that it is a girl, and a 50% chance that if you are craving salt that it is a girl. ;)

Absolutely not....most wives tales are completely false. A friend of mine just had a baby BOY about a month ago & guess what her craving was? Chocolate ice cream. Also, do not believe the whole carrying high/low tale either. My sister was carrying a certain way that was supposedly if you were having a boy but she had a girl.

When I was pregnant with both of my daughters I craved fresh strawberries and green peppers. With my first son I craved Burger King chicken sandwiches and with my second son it was Sonic Grape Cream slushes. So my experiences was junk food for the boys and healthy food for the girls. But everybody is different so it's not a science or anything.

the most accurate way to tell is after delivery and you look. Even a ultersound is not always right. I carried my girl low and wide my boy high and round. My girl i craved sweats. My boy ceral and milk. This pregnany i crave EVERYTHING on differnt days [pizza pickles sweats steak i'm carring low and wide]. I don't think there is much truth in those tales.

yes, i've heard that. i'm not sure iof its an old wives tale though. and savoury for a boy. dairy (yogurt, etc) is also supposed to mean a girl. the way you carry when you are pregnant is also significant. high belly = boy, spread belly = girl
