my son is 8 months old and hates tummy time. he will lay there and look around for a few minutes and then starts to scream and subsequently smacks his face into whatever he's laying on. because we have hardwood floors, i'm scared to put him down on our floor without a blanket, and he spends tummy time in a playpen. he's not even close to crawling and although my older son didn't crawl until about 11 months old, he enjoyed being on his stomach and scooting or just looking around and rolling by this age. any ideas or products you know of that help keep a fidgety 8 month old on the floor?

I have a 5 mo old baby, and have swadled her from birth, this is the only way that I can get her to go to sleep and once she gets a hand out she's awake, but now she's getting so big that it's becommeing really hard keeping her swaddled through the night.
Any suggestions?

My ONLY 2 1/2 month old seems to be having teething symptoms...but she's so young! She is drooling a lot and has been sucking on her hands quite a bit. She's not fussy, nor does she have a fever. Could it be possible she's teething already? What are some of the other teething symptoms?

My son is 7 months old. I have a daughter who is 5 years old. And on top of that I work a full time job (not by choice). I'm exhuasted and thus very crabby. I'm afraid that the situation is having a negative effect on my daughter. I've talked to her about it and I try to control myself but perfection is out of reach.
I need my son to stop getting my up at night so I can get some sleep so everyone around me can be happy.

I have a bedtime routine and a consistant bedtime. I just don't want to have to implement "cry it out". I did it to my daughter at my husband's instance and I hated every moment. I don't want to go there again.

Please, Please Help me. How do I teach my son this lesson in a humane fashion for everyone's sake.

My daughter is 6 1/2 months and eats really well...stage 1 and stage 2 baby food...just wondering at what age to introduce finger foods (i hear cheerios is a good one, did any of you introduce cheerios and what age?) and what other foods are good to start her off with?? I know some people give cheese, but aren't you supposed to stay away from dairy for the first year?

My daughter is 6 weeks old. I breastfeed her for 3 weeks then she was put on formula. She used to spit up just a little now and then so I thought it was because of the formula, so at her 1 month check up last week I thought she need to be on soy milk becuase my first child had to be on it, he couldn't have the milk based formula.(thought she was like him) But for the past week since she has been on the soy ever time she tries pooping she will throw up like crazy it just rolls out of her mouth and nose. PLEASE HELP why is she doing this? Is it the soy formula or what??

Help, I just don't know what to do! My 5 months old keeps crying in his sleep many times a night, every night! It's been going on for a week now. I don't think it's teething, and he seems to be comfortable in his crib, so looks like there is no reason for crying, and yet... I thought it was night terrors, but up to 6-7 times a night??? He won't stop crying until I get up and rock him a little. Has anyone had the same situation?

I have a 3 month old and he now gets 5 oz. of formula every 3 to 4 hours and it seems like he is still hungry. I dont want to over fill him so he ends up spitting up, but it seems he is so fussy for at least 30 minutes after eating and then he will calm down. Is it ok to give him more and when is a good time to start feeding him cereal or baby food?

She currently drinks soy-based formula. Can I switch her over to whole milk without any worries? Or do I need to take some precaution since her formula is lactose free?

Currently our 1 month old baby doesn't have an established routine. Generally he has a bottle about 9pm-11pm, will go to sleep about an hour later then wake up roughly 5-6 hours later. During the day he sleep is all over the place. My partner wants to give him his last bottle at 11pm, then wake him up every four hours for a feed. I disagree because waking a baby regularly at night is making a rod for your own back (his weight is already established and the health visitor has told us its ok for him to sleep longer) and you can't make a baby eat if he doesn't want to. The question is, how do we do it so its flexible at night so he can sleep for 5-6 hours, then have a set waking up time (8am-ish), and then a definate 11pm bedtime? Since if he sleeps for 5 hours one night and 6 the next, this will knock the 11pm bedtime on the head.
