Help, I just don't know what to do! My 5 months old keeps crying in his sleep many times a night, every night! It's been going on for a week now. I don't think it's teething, and he seems to be comfortable in his crib, so looks like there is no reason for crying, and yet... I thought it was night terrors, but up to 6-7 times a night??? He won't stop crying until I get up and rock him a little. Has anyone had the same situation?

My daughter was that way. I had to rock her to sleep. It may be colic. It's hard to tell at this age. At 5 months old I think it is normal- the baby still wants the security of you being there. Talk to the pediatrician. My daughter ended up having acid reflux which was caused by milk and soy sensitivity. She was also throwing up a lot so I am not sure if your baby has any other problens or if it's just crying. She is 3 now and still has stomache problems. If you breast feed, it may be the dairy in your diet- that's a common one. I had to put her on a hypoallergenic formula- Nurtamigen. Expensive and helped only a little. You can drive yourself crazy trying to find the cause of it, but most likely you'll have to suffer through this until they are older. My daughter is 3 and still wakes up at night! I have to sleep with her. But the crying does get better- Whatever works for you- Good luck and congrats on your new baby!

No, he's too young to be having bad dreams at this point. There is a reason why he's up and crying though. If you don't think it's teething, maybe an issue with gas? Maybe a development of an allergy to something in your diet if you're breast feeding?

Does he wake up first, and then start crying? If that's the case, maybe he just misses you, and knows you'll come running if he cries. In that case, you'll have to either cater to him, or go through a few difficult days of tough love.
But, if his crying is what wakes him up, it sounds like pain of some sort, and earache is my best guess. Usually there would be fever too, but not always, so it wouldn't hurt to schedule a doctor's appt. for the little guy.

My terrific wager is she's teething and you basically do no longer experience something yet. sometime tooth can basically pop by and you on no account even observed them/felt them coming. I'de individually provide her some tylenol to help ease the discomfort, and according to hazard enable her chunk on a frozen teething ring(if she would be in a position to) additionally, she could be gassy, yet i do no longer think of that's the case on account that she is fussy and you mentioned you have tried lots. Teething basically looks the rightr answer right here

Call your doctor or visit. He may have collic or gas on his tummy. Be sure that you're eating well and chewing your food good, if you're breast-feeding that is. If your body doesn't digest the food well enough, he may not be getting the nutrients he needs from your breast milk. This can cause him to have gas on his tummy and not fill full.

It could be nothing at all or it could be an ear ache, a gas bubble, constipation. Does he pull at his ear? Get his ears checked. Maybe he just wants to feel your touch and needs to be rocked. Thats normal. Good luck.
