HI ALL - IM A PROUD MUM OF A 5WK OLD SON. I'D LIKE TO GIVE UP WORK AND BE A HOUSEWIFE BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT! IT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO GET PREGNANT DUE TO FERTILITY ISSUES AND IM NOT CERTAIN I CAN CONCEIVE AGAIN. I DON'T WANT TO BE BACK WORKING 40+HRS A WEEK AND MISS MY SON.

MY HUSBAND EARNS LESS THAN 10K AND MY INCOME WOULD BE 0. PART-TIME ISNT AN OPTION EITHER (FROM WORK'S POINT OF VIEW). IT WOULDNT BE A PERMANENT WORK BREAK AND NOT A DECISION IM MAKING LIGHTLY AS MY CAREER HAS BEEN VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND I'VE WORKED HARD TO GET WHERE I AM PROFESSIONALLY.

WHAT I'D LOVE IS ANY GUIDANCE ON HOW TO MANAGE FINANCIALLY AND ANY OTHER MUMS OPINIONS / ADVICE.

THANK YOU ALL X

My 5 month old daughter is trying to crawl, but seems to only be able to go backwards by scooting. She pushes her body up to "push-up" position and scoots back when she lowers herself. She has been doing this for about 2 weeks. How do I get her to go forward? I've put toys in front of her too.

I had a horrendously unsuccessful time breastfeeding my first son, and didn't even try w/ the second for fear of the same result. For my third, I'm considering pumping only as an option. Has anyone tried this with their infants and how successful was it?

My son wont take his naps. He sleeps through the night since he was 2 months old. The past 4 days he'll sleep like a total of 1 almost 2 hours through out the day and thats it.when he wakes up hes very full of energy, but He is tired too... just doesnt want to sleep. He'll eat good in the morning and then through out the day only drinks like 2-3 oz of his bottles at a time and wont eat barely any food I give him. Since hes not napping he gets so cranky and then I can get him to go to sleep untill 10 at night or later. Help me... whats wrong here.... is this normal??? He's perfectly healthy so nothing is health wise wrong with him. Please help me Im litterally going nuts

Along with the basket of 'best things' (see previous question), I want to include a little book of tips.

ie. Take pictures of EVERYTHING. They grow up so fast; you'll want to keep every second forever.

Babies love songs. Learn a lot of them because babies also get bored.

What are your best baby tips?

My baby is almost 6 months old now. I've heard that you should keep the bumpers off until 1 year because of SIDS, but now she is moving around so much at night.

Two nights ago she was rolling in her sleep and her forehead hit the wooden side rail of the crib. Thankfully she's okay, but I'm scared this might happen again. She's so active - even when she's sleeping!

It has me wondering if it's okay to put the bumper on now?

I'm filling a basket with things that I have discovered to be 'the best' since having my daughter 5 months ago. So far I'm putting in:

Avent pacifiers (daughter likes the shape best)
Dollarama bibs and sunglasses($1 each and they are just as good as the more expensive kinds!)
Secrets of the Baby Whisperer book (saved me when we were having sleep problems)
Jolly Jumper crib wedge
Jolly Jumper car seat strap covers

Can anyone suggest anything else?

Hi Everyone. I'm going to be a new mommy around august 29th (YAY...getting close!) and I've heard other moms who love using baby powder, and those who think it's useless. What is your experience?

She drinks formula every 4 hours, between 6-8 oz., although lately she has lost her appetite for formula. She has started to eat 1-2 small meals per day, vegetables at lunch and fruits at mid-afternoon. She already tried the lactose free formula and I didn´t notice much of a difference. Is this normal...
