Well my son is now 10 months old now and he can say, bye bye (waves his hand along with the words) I Done, (He says this when he is tired of eating) or course Mama and Dada.

My son said Elmo at 8 months. Even if your daughter said dada and eat at 2 months, she didn't know they were words that are associated with her father and food. We mothers like to think our babies are brilliant geniuses even at a young age, but realistically it was just a coincidence that she made sounds that sounded like real words.

My daughter was 10 months old when she started saying "D". I would sing the alphabet and when I got to C she would pipe up and say D really loud. She's 14 months old now and actually recognizes the letter.

She now says what, daddy, mama, D, up, out, juice, and cheese.

She's really funny with the word what because she'll run to the wall and bang her hand against it and say what. She'll run to the table and yell what, she'll run to the toilet, her bed, the oven, the refrigerator........just everything.
