Yes, I was told to clean out my babys with a soft wet warm rag 2 times a day at that age so you get the milk film or buildup cleaned away. Not only is it cleaning your baby's mouth but it's getting them used to something in their mouth early so when she gets teeth in she will not throw a fit when you brush her teeth. They also have these blue gum cleansers with gel to use also by daughter loved this and would chew and my finger when I did this.

She is 15mths now and does not mind me brushing her teeth. She has never thrown a fit or not wanted her teeth brushed. It was/is normal for her to have her mouth cleaned everyday not something that just started out of no where!!!

My babys pediatrician told me that you should clean your babys mouth do to the fact the milk film inside their mouth will rot and could possibly make baby vomit, develope allergies and when teeth come in tooth decay.

he also told me about baby Orajel Tooth And Gum cleanser, it comes with a little finger brush, and is safe for baby to swallow.

No! But if it is extremely white and swollen, it could be thrush (oral yeast infection), so get it checked out. But otherwise, a white strip from the milk is perfectly normal.

If it doesn't seem to bother your baby it shouldn't bother you - take it from a mom of three. You will have plenty of other things to worry about! :)
