I did it the entire time my daughter was using bottles, I sterilized the water for them as well (to mix with the formula.) A lot of people don't do it that long, but that's what I was comfortable with.

Well, I've got a 2 month old son, and i sterilize (in the micro-wave) each time. I feel it's safer like this. You never know. I feel it's better to be safe than sorry. The doctors advise it. And I think if there was no use for it, or only for one time, there wouldn't be so many different sterilizers in shops, cos some of them are quit expensive and nobody would buy them just to use them once.
So as long as I'm bottle feeding him, I'm gonna continue.
I would say to you, just trust your instinct. If you don't want to sterilize, it's your decision. But if your afraid to stop, then continue as long as it feels right to you. But don't let it take over your life. Or you will be doing it non stop. Wash it out immediately after use, and then at the end of the day sterilize all the bottles you used. If you have enough bottles you can do it every second day.
I hope this has helped you

I hardly ever used the bottle sterilizer I was given because it was a pain. If you have a dishwasher just get one of those little baskets that you put on the top rack and run the nipples and rings through abd put the bottles along the egde of the top rack. If you do not have a dishwasher you can wash by hand and rinse in a solution of 1 gallon of warm water to 1 capful of bleach. I did this and my son never had Thrush. You should do it until at least 4-6 months....whenever you start them on baby food

Good question! I sterilized for the first 6 months with my first baby and then with my second, maybe the first 2 months and then had enough of that. With my third, I ran new bottles in the dishwasher, that was enough of a "sterilization" for me. I don't think I ever boiled any of my last baby's things. Poor kid! lol!

i'm uncertain that Mars would be a doable place to establish camp. i in my view enjoyed the action picture "pink Planet" with Val Kilmer. the theory of the action picture is they have been growing to be oxygen on earth. without that, a lunar station would be greater value effective and sensible. additionally, i lately examine that the large Martian airborne dirt and mud is amazingly, very poisonous. And it quite is an prolonged way from residing house. And chilly as hell (oxymoron meant). In possibly 3 billion years, in spite of the shown fact that (yeah, top, as though we've been going to be around that long), the sunlight could have grown rather super and whilst the Earth's oceans start up boiling away, Mars could be extreme-high quality and toasty. there remains the ambience subject. i assume by using that element technologies could have got here across a thank you to vaporize lots of the polar cap ice and probably which will placed O2 and H2O into the ambience. That suggested, I do have faith in yet another 2 hundred years there will be some form of hermetic liveable station on Mars. and probably by using that element we are going to even hit upon some magnificent issues on the subject of the Jovian and Saturnian moons (after all, we've already landed a deliver on certainly one of Saturn's moons, Titan - billions of miles away), or perhaps hit upon Jupiter and Saturn themselves. in case you dive into the Jovian environment deep adequate, atmospheric stress will be sure that it gets warmer and warmer as you circulate deeper and deeper. At some point, the temperature could be a balmy eighty ranges F. Who knows what might desire to exist there. Floating methane sucking balloon-like critters? that would desire to certainly be something.

with my first daughter i sterilized till she was almost 10 months old, then with my second daughter she was almost 7 months, then with my third daughter it was until she was 21 months old(she was/and still is very sick) and then with our last child finally a boy i stopped when he was 5 months old
it all depends on what you want to do and for how long
babies don't need things sterilized anytime after about 3-4 months and if you are using hot water then you really don't need to sterilize at all
Take Care and Good Luck

You only need to sterilize them before the first use. After that you can just wash them normally with hot soapy water or in the dishwasher.

With my older children I sterilized their bottles for the first four months but with my last baby (now two) my pediatrician said they no longer recommend doing this except before the first use. Dish detergent and hot water or a dishwasher are fine. Ask your baby's doctor for his/her opinion. And please ask your doc before using bleach! I have never heard of this!

Rule of thumb is 4-6 months old once their little immune system is a little more build up and tolerant. I sterilized my daughters until she was about 8 months old.
