My son is called Bruce. It can't be shortened, is suitable for both a baby and grown man and is a strong 'manly' name. Also, its uncommon (but not too unusual) and hasn't led to any teasing. He is 10 now, the only Bruce in his school and his mates think his name is cool. LOL
