I REALLY LIKE BOTH OF THESE NAMES. JACKSON WAS MY MOMS LAST NAME (SHE PASSED AWAY) AND I THINK ITS A REALLY CUTE 1ST NAME, BUT I HATE THE FACT THE THAT PEOPLE MAY CALL HIM JACK, ALSO MY NAME IS JACKIE AND I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO THINK I NAMED HIM AFTER ME. SO I STARTED THINKING ABOUT OTHER NAMES I REALLY WANTED A "J" NAME BUT I THOUGHT ABOUT THE NAME TRISTAN AND I REALLY LOVE THAT TOO. ITS SOO CUTE, BUT DEPENDING ON WHO SAYS IT, THE NAME CAN SOUND KIND OF "SOFT" FOR A BOY. WHAT DO U THINK? WHICH ONE IS BETTER? OF DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

Well I was just eating lunch today and I was daydreaming, completely off with the fairies I was! And anyway I thought of the name Alyssa Jean and fell in love with it! I know I will probably forget about it or change my tastes before I have children but what do you think of it for a baby girl? Rate it out of 10 and comment?

Thanks in advance!

We never told anyone about the boys names until they were born, safe and healthy!!
My friends and family had a poll happening about what names we would choose. They got it so wrong!!! hehe!!

We have picked our daughters name, but am struggling with another boys name. I want to tell people, but I like keeping it a surprise.

How about you

You could pronounce it "EYE-rihs" or even "EE-rihs." I prefer the second pronounciation.

My fiance and I have discussed naming our children after family members. Particularly, we would like to give our daughters middle names based on the names of our mothers.

His mother's first name is Ruth and her middle name is Ann. I tend to like longer middle names, so what do you think of combining them into Ruthann or Ruthanna? Is it pretty or does it sound like you are just saying Rosanna with a lisp?

Bonnie Ruthanna Grey
Lily Ruthanna Grey
Moira Ruthann Grey

I really have two. They are my Japanese nicknames given by my Japanese mom's side of the family. They are Masato and Ryouma. The other ones I just make it up for fun like Saber, Lightning, and Merrimus.

Masato meaning correct / elegant man.
Ryouma meaning dragon-horse and name of a legendary Samurai named Sakamoto Ryouma.

I'm pregnant with my first child, due in April. We just found out a couple of days ago that it's a girl! Her daddy and I are so excited! My husband's name is Bryan Travis.

The baby's paternal grandma thinks her name should be something somewhat old fashioned, her choice - Lillian Faith. The baby's aunt likes Alaina Travis (just straight out giving his middle name to her). I know it's up to me and Bryan in the end, but i'm curious as to what combinations for our baby's first name can come from his first & middle name.

Any ideas for a first name from his name? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

They are wanting two middle names becasue their other daughter has two middle names.
So, please no more comments about Miley the real one who plays Hannh Montana. I know it all.
I am just the grandma. They might spell it Myleigh

Okay, a little background info. I have twin 7 year old stepdaughters named Hayley & Heather and an 18 month old daughter named Chelsee. When we found out the sex of our now TWO DAY OLD baby (i'm a proud momma sorry), my husband and I decided to let them name her. So we decided to go from youngest to oldest. Our 18 month old wanted to call her Mimi, Hayley picked Alexa, and Heather picked Kortney. So our newborn baby's name is Mimi Alexa Kortney.

My mom says i'm stupid and the baby should have a wholesome name not a trampy one (she wanted her name to be Mary Alice and wanted Chelsee to be Tabitha Anne).

Do you think letting our children name their sister was crazy?? Is Mimi Alexa Kortney really such a bad name? We wanted our children involved.

What are your all's opinions on this?

I like the name Rose for the middle but that won't work because of some hubby's family issues (lol) so I was peaking around looking for a different middle name. I thought Madison because I love that name too, but don't want it as a first name since it is so popular. I don't like Olivia for the same reason. I love the name Ophelia and I'm not sure what her nickname would be, but I myself don't have one and that's perfectly fine for me! And if she absolutely hates that name, which hopefully she wouldn't, at least she'd have another pretty name to use.

Would you be mad if you found out a cousin, or a friend, or just someone close to you 'took' a baby name they knew you've always loved and planned on using?

I recently found out that one of my cousins that I used to be close to had a baby girl not too long ago (congrats to her) and she named her exactly the same name I've always wanted.
Everyone knows this particular name is my favorite (b/c well I've told everyone) and I dunno.. I know it's kinda selfish, but it just ticks me off that she would do it.
