Its nice; a good name for all stages of life, and the nickname Maggie is adorable. And, the name is a bit old fashioned, so she would be unique among all the "Haydens" and "Abbys" and whatnot. Good choice!

Not a fan of Magaret but I think the nickname Maggie is so cute and reminds me of a cute little girl. You could also call her Meg.

I think the nickame Maggie is so cute for a little girl and it grows, it's all around classic.
Margaret is a fine name. Another name that could be used for Maggie (if you didn't use Maggie as the original name) is
Magdeline. What were you thinking of for middle names? I'd go with another classic name like Maggie Grace.

Do you mean Margaret? If so, I love it. The nickname Maggie is fabulous - it manages to sound fresh and current, while still standing out from the Abbys and Maddies heard on every playground in America.
I'd use it without hesitation.

Love it. ;)
A classic, mature given name with an adorable childhood nickname is always a great choice. Plenty of options -- so very versatile and able to suit a child/woman of any age. Lovely!
I also like the nicknames Maisie or Greta -- though I adore Maggie itself ... just some more options ;) -- and like Maggie as a pet form of Magdalene, Magdala, Morrigan, etc. as well.
Great name (and nickname), all around!
Ps. I assumed you meant Margaret as well. ;)

I love the name Maggie! One of my good friends is named Maggie, and I've actually been called Maggie a few times (my name is Maddy). It's adorable for a little girl and sophisticated enough for a woman. Wonderful name!

Margaret is an older name, but you don't see it used too much now. I like Maggie better. But if you are going to call her Maggie, why not just name her that?

Most of the Maggies that I know are good girls, however, most are majorly overweight. They are very nice, outgoing, and positive people. That is one name that I think is very usable. After working with children so much, there are certain names I will NEVER use!!
