My husband and I are trying to concieve. Although we're not trying hard, we believe 'it' may have happened two times Monday and yesterday as we handled our business. When is a reasonable time to take the test. I don't even remember the first or last day of my period. I "think" it was two weeks ago.

Is it proper/wise or unwise/improper for a "mother" to breast feed a baby that did not come from her womb?
Is it wise or unwise for a "mother" to BF a baby who was IMPLANTED into her, does whether or not the baby is from her OVA(or part of her OVA) or not have a play in the answer to this?

Is there a COMPLETE "SYNTHETIC FLUID" that is available that can be given to babies in place of BREAST MILK? Is it tested? Is it safe?

What TOTAL PLANT BASED "formulas" for babies are available on today's market? Or if nothing is available now, what outlook for the future is there for something in this dept.?

My husband and i decided we needed to finish painting our house before the baby came (or it would never get finished). We have recruited our family and friends to come over and paint for the weekend to finish the project. I was in the house when we did the baby's room and our den.........but there was good ventilation and it was only the one room at a time. With the whole house being done at once it is going to be ALOT of paint. Is it best to just stay at my mom's for the weekend? I have read different answers from pregnancy books and wanted to know if any of you had done this before?

I know here they always use the moms maiden name on the birth certificate. So why does everyone say you should be married (I agree that baby's should be born in wedlock!) so you both have the same name on the birth certificate? Does it vary from state to state?

Hi everyone,

For all of the women out there who are waiting to take a hpt...

Like you, I get so discouraged when I read about women on these boards who say they have all kinds of pregnancy symptoms only a few days after ovulation.

I recently spoke with a nurse at my doctor's office yesterday about my situation and the possibility of being pregnant. The fact is, MOST WOMEN HAVE NO SYMPTOMS DURING THEIR 2 WW.

I'm not saying that some women don't have sore boobs, etc. early on, but please understand that this is the EXCEPTION and NOT THE RULE. It is important to understand this, and not to get discouraged.

I also recently spoke with 2 friends who are recent mothers of 2 kids, and both of them said they had no symptoms, and had no idea they were pregnant until a few days after their missed periods.

We won't all be successful right away, but I felt better knowing that there is hope, even if you don't feel sick/symptomatic immediately after conception. Thanks.

Even when their parent(s) or guardian(s) are right there and do nothing to stop it? I was at my doctor's office the other day and there was a man there (late 30's or early 40's) and he had two children with him - a girl about 10 or 11 and a boy about 7 or 8. The girl was fairly quiet, but the boy was running up and down the hallway outside the office and doing headstands in empty chairs. Finally, for no apparent reason, he lit into his sister. This wasn't just playfulness - he was really punching her hard. He finally knocked her down on the floor of the waiting room and started pounding her head against the wall. The "father" just sat there and didn't say or do anything. He had some towel or cloth pressed against his right eye. The other people in the waiting room seemed totally oblivious to what was going on and continued to read their magazines or stare straight ahead. I can't believe this wouldn't have attracted some attention. What can be done about these "wild" kids in public?

I run a daycare and one of the Moms just dropped her 2 toddlers and there is vomit in both of their carseats. Normally I would spray it off and wipe them up but this is really bad--completely soaked through the pad. One seat is an Eddie Bauer Toddler Seat and the other is a Cosco Alpha Omega Convertible. Does anyone know if taking the pads off and putting them in the washing machine would be ok? Gentle cycle? How about machine drying?

Some of you may have seen me post questions here before...this is probably quite normal but I'm sharing the experience! My wife's period was due on the 9th july but didn't come...so we've since found out she's pregnant which we're delighted about...currently experiencing frequent urination, lower back pain in the mornings when she wakes up and only goes away when she gets up...also tingly or sensitive breasts...BUT...last night we were having a great laugh watching TV and next thing I turned around and the tears were rolling down her face...snot everywhere! :-) She was watching the second last episode of 'sex and the city' for the 100th time!! Never cried before! I take it this is all normal! :-)

Is there lots of different ways to spell that name?
If so, please do tell
