As long as it stays in gel form before it gets hard it will survive.

my friend who is single is using a sperm donor. she says she has 2 hours within to use the sperm,as long as it is kept sealed in a sterile container.she also was told to keep the little pot in her bra or next to the skin,to keep it at body temp.it is best used as soon as poss, but should survive 2 hours.the donor has apparently got 6 women pregnant so it definately works!
