Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 July 2006

Ive been with my sons dad for almost 6 yrs. My son is 2 1/2. I am about 38 weeks along with our second child.Ive tried to stay with him ( my husband) we lived together for like 3 yrs alright then things really started getting bad, he couldnt keep a job, started having raging tantrums, breaking things, throwing me around if i spoke up, selling drugs, hanging out in the "hood". stealing and staying out all night. So I moved out and in with my parents , i work i pay my own way I justcannot live with him. He stays w/somefriendsright now but they are all getting kicked out in a month. I go visit him so our son can see him but he justtakes off on his "runs " allthe time , so last time i justleft .he says im always leaving him and abandoning him. I thought he was starting to change , but now im finding other womens #s i know of who are only known for one thing,( supposed clients of his) he refuses to stop talking to them ,tells me hes making money and im acting up..im soo lost...

My Stepdaughter is having a baby girl and she is having trouble with a name for the baby. Any suggestions? The last name is Pitcock and her father wants Kelley to be in the name somewhere cause his last name is Kelley. We have tryed the first name as Kelley but my daughter doesn't like this and she doesnt want the last name hyphinated such as Kelley-Pitcock.
Help the baby is due soon.

If I do not go into labor naturally by friday my doctor will induce labor Friday morning. He said that sometimes with induction contractions can be more intense and come quicker. I am scared! Can anyone give me some idea of what to expect or even a comparison to natural childbirth?

I'm not pregnant yet, but the subject came up. Hubby refuses to have the baby anywhere but a hospital because his daughter (not mine) had a complication during birth. His ex-wife also had problems during her pregnancy. I want a to have a natural birth at a birthing center with a midwife and a doula. Hubby is not against the natural birth, he just wants me to use a hospital and doctor. The birthing center I have in mind is a block away from a great hospital. I do not like hospitals and am very uncomfortable there. Hubby says he won't budge though because of the health of our children. Any advice on how to convince him to go with the birhting center?

If I think I started having a miscarriage last night, what should I do?

How much would an ER bill be? in the hundreds, or near the thousands? I do not have any health insurance, and I am miles away from home.

What will happen at the ER, how will they tell if I had one. What happens if I did lose the baby?

Would finding an OB-GYN near me and trying to get in asap be a better option, or an option at all?

I'm very scared and confused.

it only happens when i walk for a while, like i went to walmart andtwo days later to the zoo with my 2 year old and you would not believe how much pressure ther was. Like my son felt like he was gonna bust out right then and there. I dont think it is dropping because my son is still so high in my rib cage on my right side but i carried my daughter very low and never felt that before. What do you think it might be and does it sound bad? Should i continue to walk? Im going to the doctors on the 1 of august so i will sak him too but just wondering for now? thank you!!

I'm 18, but my boyfriend is 23 years. We have been going out for about 8 months. Once i told my friends how old he was alot of them told me to dump him, but i like him alot and I have strong feelings for him .. Well plently of people have told me that when older dudes go with younger girls there bascially going to use you for sex, but I dont think that is true because me and my boyfriend have only had sex one time and I was the one that bring up the idea and he never pressured me to have sex. Also alot of my friends have beent telling me to go with boys my age but alot of them are just so immature and I cant stand most of the boys my age that go to my school!! What would you do? Do you prefer to date older guys or the one's around the same age you are?

Recently I have been watching a 6 year old girl, twice a week for about 5-6 hours each day. I've boughten her a box full of toys, but sometimes she just doesn't want to play with them....how can I help to keep her busy and entertained? Also, what are some good disipline ideas? Thanks.

I really want to name our 3rd girl, but coming up with a name is harder then I thought. My husband named the first two and came up with the names right away? Why am I having such a hard time?
