ABSOLUTELY!! Why they call it "morning sickness" I have no clue as it is with you, when you have it, 24/7. And depending on your pregnancy, you can have it anywhere from a couple of weeks to having through the entire pregnancy. There is no real way to figure that out either. It is just one way your body responds to the change in hormone levels.
Some suggestions to dealing with it. First, if you think you are even slightly hungry, eat something... not a lot, but enough to curb the hunger pains. If you wait too long and are starving then gorge, then you'll be setting yourself for a serious bout of sickness. Things like candied ginger, saltines or anything you find that keeps you from feeling sick works. If you try candied ginger, I will fore warn you, eating too much can make you sick. There are two things that worked for me... Tic Tacs (those small breath mints) and fresh or a/c induced cold air. Also, stay hydrated... drink plenty of liquids.
Good luck and if you are feeling sick, I wish you well and hope it isn't through your whole pregnancy.

Yes,both my pregnancies I had this for the first trimester, about three mos, just hope yours goes away then, too.Maalox helped some. One thing for sure,is it did not keep me from having my three square meals a day.I ofton had cereal in the early morning and a light fruit and biscuit later in the morning.Seems a little on my stomache all day helped.Don't let people tell you it is all in your head.I think it is like sitting on a floating dock looking out at the water, except in this case, the
waves are churning inside ,and for some reason I felt it more than some other pregnant ladies.

Morning sickness is a loose term only relation to the nausea you experience while pregnant. It has nothing to do with the morning. You can be all day and night all week and month. Talk to your doctor and see if you can get a prescription for Finnegrin (sp) it helps a ton with nausea and is safe to take while pregnant.

Oh yes...I had "morning sickness" 24 hours a day with my son for the first 5 months. It became so unbearable that I couldn't eat or drink hardly anything. My dr prescribed an anti-nausea pill (very expensive...) and it helped a lot. Good luck to you!

yep, I don't know why they call it morning sickness. I had morning, afternoon and evening sickness with my second. Try to eat crackers before you get out of bed in the morning before you get up, it tends to help cure the nausea throughout the day. I had to use the bracelets you use to ward of seasickness, it was the only thing that helped. Good luck

My "morning sickness" lasted all day and most of the night for the first trimester. Ginger ale that was stirred until all the fizzle was gone was the only thing that worked for me. Oh and if you try crackers stick to saltine, trust me!

Yes... generally it hits in the morning, due to low blood sugar... but honestly should not be called morning sickness. I've known many pregnant women to carry crackers around with them evedrywhere (including myself) just to help their belly when it hits....

Unfortunately this is very normal with some pregnancies. I wondered how the baby could get enough nutrition as I vomited each time I ate anything until he was born. I lost 8 lbs during my pregnancy and he was healthy. I wish you the best, be patient and all the best to you.
