Every person and every pregnancy is different --- people say that it is worse in the first 3 months of pregnancy and hten it fades away but others have it all thru out pregnancy----Im 2 1/2 months pregnant and Im not having it as bad. I get it once in a while and food makes me sick but i dont throw up that much only in the mornings when I brush my teethl. About 2 years ago I had a miscarriage--I was 6 weeks pregnant and those 6 weeks I had the worse morning sickness ever--I had to quit my job it was so bad--but like I said every pregnancy is totally different. GOod luck hoppe it goes away soon!!!

Why they call it "morning sickness" I have no clue as it is with you, when you have it, 24/7. And depending on your pregnancy, you can have it anywhere from a couple of weeks to having through the entire pregnancy. When it starts is hard to predict as some women never get it. But don't look for it, just pray it doesn't come. It is just one way your body responds to the change in hormone levels.
Some suggestions to dealing with it. First, if you think you are even slightly hungry, eat something... not a lot, but enough to curb the hunger pains. If you wait too long and are starving then gorge, then you'll be setting yourself for a serious bout of sickness. Things like candied ginger, saltines or anything you find that keeps you from feeling sick works. If you try candied ginger, I will fore warn you, eating too much can make you sick. There are two things that worked for me... Tic Tacs (those small breath mints) and fresh or a/c induced cold air. Also, stay hydrated... drink plenty of liquids.
Good luck and if you are feeling sick, I wish you well and hope it isn't through your whole pregnancy.

It's different for every woman. The way I knew I was pregnant was when at work one day talking to a coworker, I almost shoved her out the way to throw up. I was a little over 4 weeks.
Everyone I know was only sick the 1st trimester if at all. I was sick the entire time. Not necessarily throwing up and heaving, although it was like that in the beginning, but just feeling plain nauseous.
I did realize that the people I talked to who did get sick more were usually prone to getting motion sickness. If this is the case for you, be expecting it. To avoid it altogether, try eating smaller frequent meals throughout the day vs. 3 times daily. Also, be wary of the smells around you. It's usually heightened during pregnancy. There's also meds and lollipops made for nausea that are safe during pregnancy.
Congrats and best of luck!

It really is different for everyone! Some women only have morning sickness through the 1st trimester while some (like me) are sick through the whole pregnancy. Morning sickness can kick in just a couple of weeks of pregnancy. It really just varies.

Not every woman gets morning sickness. Usually, if you do have it, it will last through the first trimester, but that isn't always the way it goes. Some women have it so severe that they end up in the hospital from dehydration, some only get a little nauseas, some bearly notice it. Some women have it all the way through their pregnancies. There are ways to help keep it a bit at bay, if you would like to know, contact me and I can tell you.

Morning sickness usually only lasts for the 1st trimester. It can carry over to the 2nd trimester. It will usually kick in when you are about 6 weeks along until you are up to 20 weeks along. The best thing to help with the sickness feeling is to drink milk and eat saltine crackers.

firstly, not everyone gets it. with two of my pregnancies i never had it. With the other i was a little nauseous but never threw up. Usually lasts during the 1st trimester .. but with some people it can be for the entire time, completely depends on the person and the particular pregnancy. I think it kicks in around 6 weeks pregnant, usually.

During both of my pregnancies I had morning sickness the entire time. I dehydrated a couple times and was hospitalized once. It was worse in the first and second trimester then it got better. But I still vommited every single day that I was pregnant.

It usually doesn't start until about 5-6 weeks, and it generally ends at the end of the first trimester. Some people are still sick into the 4th month, but not much beyond there.

morning sickness usually only is a close friend through your first trimester, or the beginning stages of your pregnancy.
it can be the most miserable few months of your life but it will pass, if it continues into second or even third trimester stages you might want to speak to your OB practicioner...it can be harmful if the baby is not recieving enough nutriants from you.
just keep the saltines in ready supply! good luck
