What are Ron Paul's opinions on gay marriage? Is he the same as every other republican on that? Some people on the GLBT section mentioned him, but his website wasn't very informative on that particular hot spot...

Thanks!

In what way are the following quotes not similar regarding thought and ambition?

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power"
[Benito Mussolini]

"Fascism recognizes the real needs which give rise to socialism and trade-unionism, giving them due weight in the guild or corporate system in which divergent interests are coordinated and harmonized in unity of the state"
[Benito Mussolini]

"It doesn't matter who owns something... it only matters you controls it"
[Adolf Hitler]

"Bring corporations under stake-holder [state] control"... Book: Don't Think Of An Elephant": The Essential Guide For Progressives... heavily promoted by the DNC.
[George Lakoff]

My fellow Americans, we have found a THIRD WAY... this THIRD WAY calls for business and government to join hands as partners... to use technology, research and market incentives to meet national needs.

LOL.
Just two days ago there was a story about how everyone in the middle east pretty much accepts the fact that bin laden is dead.
Bush awhile ago said he isn't even a priority.
Now we get this story.

If this isn't media conditioning and build up for a war of some kind i don't know what is.
Am I the only one who sees through this BS?

Both the timing of the audio tape and the fact that it doesn't mention Bhutto raises questions.

I am thinking of a few possible scenarios.

1. The audio tape takes a long time to reach its destination and therefore could not have included mentioning Bhutto. I find this to be the most probable scenario.

2. Bin Laden is dead and the release of this message is the first of many of planned releases of these very broad and run of the mill hate messages.

The last two I find to be least probable.

3. Bin Laden, from his location, had no knowledge and perhaps no involvement in the assassination. This one I find to be least likely

4. Bin Laden chose not to address Bhutto's death for whatever reason.

I find it odd because the tape's message is very broad and covers major, timeless themes. At the same time, it makes no mention of world events. In a way, this tape could be release 1 year from now and still be relevant.

What do you think?

Only a young pup myself, so im ignorant to age old confilcts and ive been trying to learn the epic history of the troubles in Ireland. I read books from both sides of the spectrum to gain a wider knowledge, Cromwells atrocities, Protestant massacres preceding etc etc .. but in more recent article i read, that alot of American money paid for the IRA campaign, with many Americans having Irish ancestry and nursing older prejudices.. In a nutshell, to any older and wiser people than me. (and hopefully not indoctrinated to anyones "side") Is it true that the Terrible events of 9/11 hugely contributed to the peace treaty taking effect in Northern Ireland, following a sudden halt of widespread support to the IRA from citizens in the USA?

is it really democracy when we select a person to lead, but that person gets to choose whoever they want to lead them....are we voting for the person or their cabinet?

Democrats claim they are for the down trodden, yet it is conservatives who give much more to charities, almost every food bank is established and run by Christian organizations. It is conservative that want to give freedom and democracy to all in the world, while democrats cry about how we just need to take care of our own. I just don't get it.
