No, in the case of Bush. His security shuts down roads and clears a broad area of all people. He only goes to events with hand picked audiences who have been searched and researched.

US presidents have had attempts made on their life on a regular basis, and most recently Reagan was shot, and nearly died, which is why they have a large security force protecting them at all times and are never in the presents of people that have not been screened for weapons, if it can be avoided. Since 9/11 you can not even drive a car within 2 blocks of the White House or a block of the capital and trucks are excluded from large areas of official Washington. They even have no fly zones over Government buildings and anti-aircraft guns ready to shoot down planes the violate the ban. With all the precautions Bush is probably safer than any previous president.

Oh please, don't get me started. Not many people love Bush (the select few fools that we hear from around here notwithstanding) and whatever concern there is for his safety is probably as low as his character. If I say anything more, I'm afraid the secret service will be knocking on my front door in short order.

well, here in America, we don't have an actual leader, we have an "elected" (and I use that term loosely) corporate puppet named george w. bush...and even if he goes down, we'll have another corporate puppet to replace him...
