fix the problem and leave. clearly they didnt count on the pelosi/reid regime using the defense of the ethics and values of this country in foriegn policy for personal and political gain. its hard to successfully defend this country when liberal extremists find nothing wrong with unilateral surrender, poltical stumping in syria(pelosi) a known terrorist sympathizing country, equating national defense in terms of economics to (no im not making this up) peanut storage, over 36000 requests for pork spending...aka..read that vote buying...(pelosi reid) tied to the defense bill without debate, and of course the whopper joke, betrayus(moveon) when the progress in iraq has clearly proved the man entirely correct. the only "mistake" , if you want to call it that was counting on liberals to use common sense in the defense of this country. given the no response policy of clinton to uss cole, african embassy bombings, wtc one and at least six bonafide chances to capture or kill bin laden in sudan, obviously giving the liberals the opportunity to display such..."common sense" is part and parcel of why fixing this problem in iraq is taking so long. its hard to follow a plan like an exit strategy, when half the people in congress have alterior motives

Win the war Not to make the mistake of leaving before the job is done. As past administrations have done such as in Somalia which by the way is why Bin Laden said he attacked knowing we would not finish what we started.
