I am not a 100% follower of Giuliani but I would not call him a liberal. I am bothered by his stance on gun control but I doubt he would act on the issue because I know that he is a political animal. He knows that to profess gun control is to commit political suicide in the South.

Ronald Reagan said that a person who is your friend 70% of the time is not your enemy, that is how I feel about Gullinani.

I would rather have him than Hillay or Obama

Relax Giuliani is only in this for the money. He has a lot of favors to pay back. The 100 million he will get from the Government to run can be used to return favors. It is more of a clean slate issue with him than a campaign Go Team Red Go

If he gets the nomination, then he will get my vote. He would be far better than any of the Democrats that would be nominated.

There are a lot of good points about Giuliani that you fail to see. He is not soft on illegals or security, and many other good points. He would not push any anti-gun legislation and I am certain that his stance on abortion would not change anything as far as the law goes now.

I believe he would do a good job as president.

Who do you believe that is running for the presidency has lived without sin, or has lived a life without faltering, ever?

Well said!

None of the Republican candidates are authentic Republicans or authentic conservative [Goldwater] Republicans.

There at best RINO's... Republicans In Name Only!

Their all Reagan Democrats that the Neoprogressives kicked out of the unDemocratic party [except for Lieberman who they tried and failed to kick out]... which the neoprogressives [James Carvel in particular] called neocons... which was meant to be a pejorative.

Ron Paul is a RINO as well since his politics have a heavy Libertarian bias. [Ron Paul ran for President on the Libertarian ticket years back]

I'm Libertarian with a capital "C"as Hayek, Freedman, and Greenspan would say.

Republicans and many Evangelicals are backing Giuliani because they believe they need to set aside some of their ideals inorder to elect someone who they believe will most effectively carryout the war against terror and resist giving in to the ardent passifists.

i like the guy. He's my pick. Number one, he is the best chance the republicans have, because a lot of moderates out there are going to swing his way. Number two, which is probably the reason for number one, the guy is an excellent speaker, he conveys his thoughts well, he answers questions directly and honestly. Even if it's an answer he knows damn well it's not the one you want to hear. I have got to respect that.

For such an immoral liberal he made New York City a safe and normal place to live.

I could care less about his personal life, what I do care about is his executive track record , and from what I have seen he has one of the best out there.

True, there wouldn't be much point. The GOP needs to uphold its standards and choose someone who truely represents their "moral values." For example, how about:
Mark Foley
Paul Wolfowitz
Ted Haggard
Sen. Vitter
Sen. Craig

Then theres the ones convicted on corruption, bribery, and/or perjury (e.g. Cunningham, Libby).

The right-wing really needs to drop its pretense about "moral values"--they don't have any.

Good points on Giuliani...

HERE IS MY LIST IN CASE YOU FORGOT...

Something like this...

Mom kicked dad out of the NYC Mayor's mansion after he started having an affair.

Dad kept coming back and bringing his skank mistress (now current wife).

Mom got restraining order stating skank could not come to NYC mayor's mansion.

Giuliani MOVES OUT of NYC Mayor's mansion.

Fast forward several years. Mom and Giuliani divorced.

Dad marries SKANK.

Kids do not invite dad to graduation...

This is like Monica and Bill.. wait its ten times worse...

How can you run for president and be 3x divorced and your exwife had a restraining order on your new skank. AND, YOU DIDNT EVEN LIVE IN THE NYC MAYORS MANSION WHEN YOU WERE THE MAYOR?

WHAT A POOR LIFE FOR THOSE KIDS TO HAVE HIM AS THEIR DAD - and that SKANK as a STEPMOM...
