We all know that Bush is an intellectual lightweight and hasn't really made any of the decisions for which he is responsible. I suspect he will admit as much 10-15 years from now when the unmitigated disaster of his presidency is no longer seen with any ambiguity. He will candidly admit that he was in way over his head and took bad advice (lots of bad advice) from people he trusted. He will lament the things that happened while he was president, but he will disavow all responsibility.

There's a lesson to be learned here. The president needs to be intellectually sharp and capable of understanding the complex issues involved with governing the entire free world. He needs to be wise enough to solicit conflicting opinions and intelligent enough to digest all viewpioints before formulating coherent policy. In other words, we should never have another Republican president. I would love to see the party of intellectual malaise go the way of the Whig....

Are these people well-intentioned but deluded and ignorant?

Or, are they just traitors to their country who spit on the constitution (which, according to Dubya is "just a piece of paper")?

UTICA, New York – A new Zogby Interactive survey shows Democrat Hillary Clinton of New York would lose to every one of the top five Republican presidential contenders, representing a reversal of fortune for the national Democratic front–runner who had led against all prospective GOP opponents earlier this year.

In three nights of rioting "Some 120 police officers have been injured, four of them seriously after being hit by buckshot from hunting weapons. . . By comparison, 200 officers were injured in three weeks of rioting in 2005.

"Two things are cause for anxiety: signs that the violence is spreading ...and the almost systematic use of firearms against police"

Why do many conservatives think that anyone who is not a conservative is a liberal? The majority of people seem to be moderate, while those with the largest voice are on the extreme right or left.
