We not only could do without big Govt, we would do better.

We could do without big Media too. We would not survive as a nation without big business.

The obvious choice from the slanted question, would be to say Big US Media. That of course would be wrong! Why? Big Media, is a large driver of the economy, and giant money maker. What it promotes, sells! It creates interest for books, magazines, video interests, and expansion of products, through advertising.. Media can MAKE or BREAK a candidate, a product, an industry, or a person. On the other hand Big Govt., can when used properly, grow the economy, assist in country development, oversee the health of the nations best interests, and manage necessary social programs to protect the weak , aged, and the underprivleged! Big Business, can employ the nations work force, manage the country's resources of which they use, JUSTLY pay its workers ,to allow the citizenry to prosper, and grow the nation economically, Place PRINCIPALS above PROFITS.,pay its fair share of taxes which are generated from their profits, and never do anything that would jeopardize the health or prosperity of our BELOVED AMERICA! When Big Business has bought and paid for our govt. and Big Govt. has sold itself out to them, all the things I have listed above will be lost!! So the answer to your question is , Media is the only non-harmful of the three, and the other two , if left to continue as they are today, will destroy our wonderful one of a kind nation! When people in power, care ONLY for their self interests, the nations interests are at risk. We still have time... SOLOMON

Yes. No. No. Unfortunately government is a necessary evil, but in it's current form, it's inefficient, wasteful, and creating a welfare nanny state. It needs to shrink so it dictates lives less and allows more free enterprise. Big business is a good thing. Without it, we wouldn't have all the things we enjoy as a nation. Big businesses don't get to where they are by offering products and services people don't want. They get big by selling things people desire usually at a reasonable cost, and with more business, brings more competition. More competition brings the cost down even farther. Big business produces innovation. For as much hell as the drug and oil companies take, we sure don't give them credit. They are the ones who create the drugs we need to live a healthier life. Without these companies, we wouldn't have anything at all, so count your belessings even if they are expensive. The oil companies invest literally billions of dollars, finding, retrieving, processing, and shipping fuel to get it to our cars and elsewhere. Big media, although often skewed, is also necessary. Without it, we wouldn't have an open democracy.

Don't be discouraged, we, the voters still control the government. The reason it has gotten this way is apathy. For instance, a lot of people are upset with gov, right? Did these people vote in the primary? In PA only 25% of voters voted. That means 3 out of 4 people are happy or stupid. You could argue that the primary wasn't important but consider the message to DC if close to 100% voted. I don't think they would pass another vote without reading it after that. Another instance. My congressman, Gerlach (R) voted for TARP 1 after 9 out of 10 people called his office and told him to vote against it. Gerlach is still in office and is looking to get reelected this November. Our votes will count when we start voting.

The U.S. could do without "Big U.S. Government."

"Big U.S. Business" promotes healthy competition via capitalism, which is good for our economy and health care

A "Big Media" is OK, as long as it is fair and balanced and doesn't further ideological agendas. The people must stay educated in order to reject propaganda, which is a danger of "Big Media"

Big U.S. Business is what makes us the economic powerhouse that we are and gives us the standard of living that we currently enjoy.

We can do without the Big Gov't.

Big Media needs to become more objective and reduce it's trend to spout propaganda instead of news.

If you take any, or all three, of those away, you wouldn't have a "USA". Big US Govt., Big US Business, or Big US Media -- that IS the USA.
