, or will you support "borrow and squander" Republicans again ??

I believe I will go for the tax and spend this time around. At least it will be paid for by those spending it rather than the borrow and spend we have now. Our great grandchildren may well be paying it off. No interest on tax and spend but borrow and spend means we pay interest to those from whom we borrow the money. This doesn't seem fiscally responsible to me.

Bill Clinton was accused of being tax and spent, that turned out OK so my money is on them though that whole label is of course just a political weapon that conservatives use to discredit any Democrat.

Neither.

I will support a fiscally responsible Republican. The spending of Bush and the GOP Congress he had was disgraceful, and would shame even a drunken sailor. There's a reason why their support was lacking in 2006. Now that the big government Republicans are out of the party leadership (no more "no fat left to cut" DeLay), the traditional small government, fiscally responsible people are back in charge.

But I don't see any fiscally responsible people as candidate for the presidency, on either side.
