How come to this day, NYC is regarded as having one of the worst homicide rates in the world?
And how come NYC is graffiti capital of the world?
Also, doesn't it not say too much good about the man since he hired a known child molester by the name of Alan Placa into his law firm, just because they were childhood friends?

Don't believe the hype. There are plenty of articles online that refute his crime-fighting legacy.

Ask any political scientist what an empire is and they will say its a government that controls its geographical borders, or other territories in has under its control, through military means.

The United States Of America has never done this and is not doing this now.

Yet people still call America an empire, or they say it has imperialist objectives in the mid-east.

So, are we changing the definition of 'empire'?

Perhaps we are including political and economic means among the ways that an empire is built and held on to.

I have had people call me names. I have had them write me e-mails calling me a traitor to my gender just because I refuse to support Hillary Clinton. It has nothing to do with her being a woman , I don't like anything that she waffles about. I can't say she stands for anything she changes her mind to much. She gives females a bad name and I don't want her representing my gender.

I keep seeing posts that bash Clinton. What's wrong with her? I'm only 15, so I'm not all that into the elections and junk, but what did she do to make everyone hate her?

what are they afraid of? what is the rational reason behind this line of thought? What does it accomplish? I see it as an adolescent action. School yard shenanigans. Do you see us as a threat to you? I have one thing to say NO SOUP FOR YOU!

The Jerusalem Post
November 8, 2007
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's announcement Wednesday that Iran had 3,000 working centrifuges raised fears in Washington that Israel would respond to the statement with a preemptive military strike, the London Times reported Thursday.

The British paper quoted military sources in the US capital as saying that the figure presented by Ahmadinejad could be the "tipping point" that touches off an IAF strike. Washington is reluctant to go forward with a strike against Iran, but Israel is a "different matter," the officials said.
-------------------------------------------
It's just rather odd. Every month or so, something being said by Ahmadinejad or Israel. Almost like they are each daring the other.
But would an 'air strike' by Israel be enough? And what does Ahmadinejad REALLY have in the way of defensive weaponry? He could have something entirely different, but still deadly, in his arsenal?????

The Iranians and the fringe radical muslim groups sure make a strong case for eventual annihilation, to me. Throw in Pakistan and North Korea and what else can you expect? We are so doomed. Plus, the wildcard is Russia; they just don't give a damn.

People are just no damned good.

I thought you had to create peace in order to receive that. Why isn't Joseph Kabilia leader of War Torn Congo getting it because he actually ended a brutal civil war. The president of Ivory Coast for doing the same. Not some guy who basically made a movie.

Um, as someone kindly pointed out, Al Gore didn't invent this, he just publicized the findings of scientists all over the world. Some of these scientists weren't even studying things like global climate change, but animal habitats and other research assignments, and they saw that SOMETHING DRAMATIC is happening. So how the heck did this turn into Al Gore's "lie"? I mean, this has nothing to do with Al Gore. If Al Gore believed the sky is blue, I bet people who hate him would argue it's purple against all good sense! Would you rather believe independant scientists who are funded by universities, the government, private parties, people who have nothing to do with each other, or an OIL COMPANY who makes a profit off of what is probably causing this? I mean, never mind an educated person, anyone with STREET SMARTS can see that the oil companies don't want their profits messed with. Well, now of course, science has ENDED the debate and even the oil companies are on board to get green...
