what are they afraid of? what is the rational reason behind this line of thought? What does it accomplish? I see it as an adolescent action. School yard shenanigans. Do you see us as a threat to you? I have one thing to say NO SOUP FOR YOU!

You mean like the hateful email I recieved from a right-winger claiming I didn't know what I was talking about and to keep my opinions to myself, even though I was commenting on a field I work in?
I find it hilarious, that your type cries and cries about PC movement destroying America, but when people aren't PC enough with you, you want to cry that they are trying to violate your freedom of speech for not being PC with you.
Kind of Ironic huh?

OK, imagine you are a tennis player like Anna Kournikova, and every time you are in a match you get paired against some powerhouse like Martina Hingis or Venus Williams.

Pretty soon you'd be lamenting, "Sheesh, why can't I ever have a match against someone like Pam Shriver?"

Get the point?

Liberals just aren't a match for Conservatives in a fair debate of ideas. Conservatives just seem to naturally be more eloquent. Our ideas are persuasive. Liberals seethe with anger because they can't win in an open forum. They are trying to get as many Conservative accounts deleted as they can in an effort to impose their own brand of "The Fairness Doctrine".

I don't understand the rationale behind reporting people. There used to be a guy on this venue (and to comply with Yahoo policy of not naming names, I will refer to him in code as "loony bananas"). This guy is my total opposite. He practically never gave me Best Answer, but I kept coming back because at least he had a sense of mirth and whimsy. He wasn't some tediously serious person who can't take a joke. He brought some levity to the Politics section. After dozens of accounts, I think he just gave up. It is our loss.

For those of you who oppose a different point of view, and think victory can be had by eliminating the competition, let me suggest you think of it this way: if you were an Olympic athlete in the 1970's and Russia boycotted the games, would you really feel the Gold Medal you got was the unblemished, sweet victory you imagined it to be? The absolute knowledge that, at that point in time you were really the best in the world?

Or would you suspect, and perhaps quite rightly, that some unfortunate competitor in Vladivostock would have beaten you, and that your medal is something of a fraud.

To quote John Denver:

Relatively speaking,
you make me who I am.
I need you exactly like the ocean needs the land ......
Relatively speaking, the contrast makes it go.
Every action taken is related in the flow.
Stars and losers, kings and fools go dancing hand in hand.
Relatively speaking,
you make me who I am.

Some one got offended when I defended Cheney from being Impeached and threw the button. NO Soup for them either ! I loved the Seinfeld gag. Thanks for the humor. Tis like a school yard. And the ape in multiple drag avitars? Was up with that?

The instillation of fear is merely fear itself. Think about it.

Awww no soup for me? I got a cold, I needs my chicken noodle!!!

Well here's a question, how do you know who reports who? (Unless of course they write in "reported" as an answer.) Some sort of tracker lol! You say it's the liberals, I submitted a question which proclaimed my love for my country, and that was removed. How do I know it wasn't a right-wing troll that didn't like what this liberal was saying? Hmmm?

How many folks are blocked by "bushfamilymember"? Now RLP asks pointed questions but doesn't block - that's the give and take we want.

You are being naive to think only one side does it - there are equal twits on both sides.

Yes and no soup for you either since you deny the same actions from the conservative posters, they also abhor dissenting opinion and get Libs kicked off the site every day

They're not afraid of opposing points of view because, in their view, they're all wrong. So, why wouldn't they suppress it?
