Yes, the US should remain in the UN. The US was one of the five original members and founders of the UN in 1944 with the idea being put forward by Roosevelt who got the idea from the failed "League of Nations" which the US did not support.
As one answerer stated, the US has bullied the UN into certain actions which have bordered on being against the UN Charter. Certainly the US has violated the UN charter many times since 1945 causing wars and conflicts, either directly or indirectly.

No, the United Nations has become foul and corrupt and ineffective.
The UN is anti-American and pro-globalism.
The UN has its hand on the indoctrination of school children to their globalist agenda. They are the leaders in a warped political correctness that is killing freedom all over the world.
The UN should be disbanded.

The problem with quitting the U.N. is that we'd lose all influence in the organization. We've bullied the U.N. into approving sanctions against Iran, bullied them into creating Israel, and bullied them into boycotting Saddam's oil on the global market, etc. If we weren't members, the world might be boycotting U.S. exports for the illegal war against Iraq.

I could give you one reason for staying. The US has the power to veto any resolution in the Security Council it does not like. No one cannot overrule that veto.
