How come to this day, NYC is regarded as having one of the worst homicide rates in the world?
And how come NYC is graffiti capital of the world?
Also, doesn't it not say too much good about the man since he hired a known child molester by the name of Alan Placa into his law firm, just because they were childhood friends?
Don't believe the hype. There are plenty of articles online that refute his crime-fighting legacy.

I didn't say "the" worst, I said one of the worst.

Actually ,that would be Philly. Other cities with high crime are Atlanta,Baltimore,; Memphis; Oakland, Calif.; Richmond, Va.; St. Louis; Detroit; and Newark, N.J. NYC crime has gone down. I know,I'm from there.
I will choose Rudy over Hillary.

Giuliani took office in 1995 I worked in NY city and mayor dinkuns had made a mess of things with his hands off policies and his chief of police out of town brown. Guilliani started a campaign of enforcing laws they considered to effect the "quality of life" in the city they started to make more arrest pertaining to graffiti, squeegee bums, turnstile jumpers etc. The police where given the support they needed and the judges were encouraged to enforce those laws. The crime rate dropped in all areas of the city even murders and rapes because the streets were safer cleaner people started to come out at night. time square which had been a haven for prostitutes and predators and riddled with porn shops and peep shows was targeted and with the courts Giuliani cleaned up time square and pushed the porn industry out of time square to the point were it became a major attraction for families and big corporations like disney. instead of derelicts and creeps. Two of the things I admired rudolph Giuliani for was in 1995 a concert was being held at lincoln center. Giulliani spotted Yasser Arafat and his entourage and had him removed from the premises. He was criticized for his actions but stood his ground.
two days after the concert an unrepentant Giuliani said, "I would not invite Yasser Arafat to anything, anywhere, anytime, anyplace. I don’t forget." He was referring to how Arafat had time and again spoken to Arab audiences about his dreams of jihad for Jerusalem and about how Oslo was simply the implementation of the PLO’s long stated goal of destroying Israel in stages. Buses were exploding in Jerusalem and Arafat was behind many bombings and terrorist acts in Jerusalem and around the world. The second thing Giuliani did was after the trade center attacks the site was visited by a Saudi prince who said that the U.S should rethink our policies in the middle east making a gesture that we somehow deserved our citizens to be slaughtered and were responsible for the heinous act. When the saudi prince offered a $10 million dollar check to the disaster relief Guilliani said there was no justification or moral equivalent for this terrorist act and turned down the money. Not one candidate is squeaky clean they all have baggage and so do we but If anyone is going to put everything he has into the presidency and try and clean up washington and take a strong stand on keeping this nation safe Then RUDY would be a good choice. Look to the future and what this country can do and not what it cannot.

The one thing about Giuliani's record that is irrefutable is that he reduced crime in NYC. All other things are debatable, but for you to try to argue that NY's crime rate was not dramatically affected by Giuliani's policies is pure propaganda.
There are plenty of articles on the internet that say a good many things that aren't true. You have to choose to believe them in spite of the evidence.

The "hype" as you say, goes both ways. Statistics can be used to "fudge" the data whichever way you want. A good site to get facts is factcheck.com I have found them to be unbiased and expose false or exagerated claims from any of the candidates.
