Spielman Convicted & Sentenced for the Murder & Rape of Abeer: http://www.womensmediacenter.com/ex/080607_b.html

This is GRAPHIC: "A third soldier, Private Jesse Spielman, 23, was sentenced to 110 years in prison after being convicted of the rape & murder of 14-year-old Abeer Qassim Rasheed Al-Janabi; like Sergeant Paul Cortez & Specialist James Barker, who were also convicted in the case."

"After forcing Abeer’s youngest sister, her father & her mother into a separate room, Green allegedly shot them while Cortez & Barker took turns raping Abeer in the living room. Then Green, who has yet to be tried, allegedly returned to the living room, raped Abeer & then shot her three times."

"Cortez shed tears while testifying about the rape. Questioned about his attitude toward Iraqis, he admitted that he “hated them.” Asked if his hatred was directed at Iraqis, he admitted that he “hated them.” Asked if his hatred was directed at Iraqi women, he responded "for the most part, yes."

the states with people with the top 16 average iq's voted for kerry in '04. all of their iq's were at least 99 (just under the average of 100) and connecticut and massachusetts are at the top of the lists-they are like the most liberal states ever. Is this not proof that dems are smarter than republicans. and while a high iq doesn't necessarily make you better at politics, there is a general correlation.

Here is a question for all to ponder... Attacking a US military installation by a foreign govt. is a declaration of war. Hence, wouldn't Saddam shooting at our jets patrolling the UN sanctioned no fly zone be considered a declaration of war? If it is Doesn't the US have a right to defend themselves has forcibly as desired? If we do nothing when one country attacks, what stops others from trying the same thing??

Personally I think Bush has finally earned some kudos. For sure we could turn this around and say its all concessions etc. But really its diplomacy and any good diplomatic solution to anything leaves everyone less than perfectly happy. I wonder if Bush finally got some positive feed back maybe we could end missile strikes first diplomacy last.

If it wasn't for Al Qaeda,
Bush would never have been re-elected.
So he protected Al Qaeda from Saddam? http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0211-11.htm

FOX news became number one (all of which happened in recent years), we've never heard of Conservative media bias before, but have always heard about Liberal media bias?

Just curious. Thanks.

How is what Musharraf's doing any DIFFERENT from what Bush and company has been doing for the last 7 years?

Media censorship/intimidation
outright secrecy
continued violation of our constitutional rights
stacking the SC in Bush's favor
Putting the WH on a dictactorship footing
indefinite detention without trial or charge
rendition flights
spying on Americans illegally
torture

Tell me I'm wrong.

TELL ME that this *isn't* similar?

What do you think is going to happen if we get hit again by another terrorist attack?

It would be a GOP wet dream: Suspension of our own constitution and imposing military rule.

What's going on in Pakistan is just a preview of what the hardliner Republicans *want* for our country.

Either now or in the future. But democracy--as we know it--has been dead since Bush took office.
