obviously it does for many...but for a Christian to say Republicans are the true believers is a little nutty...like "hey, this fruit cake has too many nuts, man!" To say Bush is like a Christ is way, way out there. He is a man, not a God...i really can't understand why they believe that Republicans have the only ear to God. Very dangerous and fanatical crap that. How can they know that he doesn't just sleep through church? Oh, I forgot, Rush and Bill told them that he stays awake. I believe in God by the way, but I try to help more than I harm...that's my morality. My morality is in this world, not the next.

No way. People use morality to constitute laws. Many people believe in order to posses morals you must be religious, which is not true. I am not a traditional Christian, but I do believe in God. Many people assume I don't believe in God because I have liberal values. I don't let my beliefs influence my political beliefs. I believe a woman has the right to choose and I support gay rights, which is totally against the bible. However, those are my beliefs.
A socialism is a form a government. A person who favors socialized policies and social programs is labeled as a socialist. Socialism tends NOT to be involved with religious beliefs. There are Republican and Democrat Christians. Although, religion should NEVER play a factor in politics, it often does. Because if religion wasn't significantly important, then why haven't we had a Jewish, Muslim, or atheist president?!

No it does not.
Religious Christian beliefs don't make you anything political. Unless you are Muslim or Jewish. Those two religions have political and governmental laws mandated in their books.
Christianity is purely non political religion. What it will affect is your values and how you percieve personal responceabilty.
An example can be abortion.
Because you are Christian you agree with the constitution that God is the granter of life and liberty. You may believe that life starts in the womb. You there for believe that constitution protects unborn children.
But you may also believe as do. That it is purely a state issue. The sooner we get issues out of the federal arena the sooner issues will get solved.
Liberals tend to lean more toward governmental responceabilty. You see them picket government and rarely corporation. Christians on the other hand picket corporations and industry more than liberals.
Just a quick illustration of how religion affects values and indirectly politics.

Sure they do. As to what they make the person, that would depend on the religion. Most socialist states suppress all religion. As for Dem or Rep. I know people of all faiths that are members of both parties.

My religious beliefs do not affect my political beliefs. I recognize that my personal beliefs are just that, my personal beliefs and as such are not what is truly best for everyone. I am a registered Democrat with political beliefs all over the place.

Yes,there is no way it could not and anyone that tells you no is not telling the truth. Ones beliefs are part of what and who we are and how we think. So I vote according to the person who's beliefs are more like mine in Government issues,World issues etc.
Republican.

Well, for some people they do, but not me. I'm a Christian, but I support gay marriage, Roe vs. Wade, stem cell research, ending "indecency" laws, I believe in evolution - all that stuff.

Yes

It does depend on who you interpute the Bible.

A couple thousand years of debate I don't think there is definitive stand one way or the other which party is the right one.

I think we shouldn't be concern if G-d is on our side but are we on G-d's side.

Each party and view does have problems with the Bible.
So I would say it is up to each to decide.

I happen to go with Republican.
