Yet conservatives constantly say they are for small, limited government? Abortion? Homosexual rights and equality? Suddenly a more intrusive and powerful government is fine. How can they be taken seriously?

There is this kid in my class who always struts around with his BushHiter Shirt and MoveOn.org hat, drinking his Pumkin Spice Latte always mouthing off about the 'Illegal' war and how America is bad and such. I asked him if he would ever serve his county and he said he does not beleive in war. I think he just another scared lefty who leaches off of america and never gives anything back.

What say you?

The judge has ruled that before the film can be shown in the classrooms in England the children must be informed of the falsehoods. With so many fabrications, why hasn't Gore been eliminated from the Nobel Peace Prize competition? If he wins, the prize will imediately cease to be of any significance whatsoever.

As long as the political parties can keep the people divided they will never unite in a way that would make it possible to revolt against a corrupt system of government. Is this what has happened in America?

I am a conservative but not a republican. I'd like to see something good from either party. However, these 2 "leaders" are really idiots (I'm know the GOP has idiots too but let's stick with the Dems). I hear them speak and think to myself: "my God...the nation is being led by total baffoons". Neither of these people should have been elected in the first place let alone become the leaders of their party in Congress. Just curious what you folks think - whether you're a conservative or a liberal doesn't matter. Just want to know your opinions.

Here are the results of the last one;

"George W. Bush emerged from the election with fifty-one percent of the popular vote -- the first outright majority for any presidential candidate since his father in 1988, and the first president since Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936 to be re-elected while gaining seats in both the House and the Senate."

NOTE: Bill Clinton never got 50% of the vote.

I don't remember any pleas about "supporting your troops" when Clinton was sending troops to various places.

If Patriots aren't supposed to dissent, why were republicans dissenting when Clinton was in office. Did everyone just magically become more patriotic after 9/11?
