Define freedom in your words and explain how someone can take it away?

There are many aspects of freedom and many ways of curbing freedom.

Freedom to swing your arm ends at the tip of my nose.

Freedom is choosing to take part in a competition.
- It can be taken away by people being allowed to scream and insult you while you try to compete. Their right to scream insults ends when it hampers my actions.

Freedom is choosing to associate separately with people who hate each other.
It can be taken away if others are allowed to spy on your contacts and report them publicly. Privacy provides freedom which can be hampered if not protected.
