Ok, so w/ the Universal Healthcare plan all it does is create a country whose citizens are dependent on the government. Which in my eyes is not a good idea...I mean shouldnt New Orleans have been a prime example of this. 1/2 those citizens there were dependent on the government and we all saw were that got them. Then on top of that Soc. Sec. is a gov. run organization thats about to go bankrupt and yet we want politicians to run our healthcare system....sounds a bit out there. I say a simple little reform for the insurance co. should help out our current system. But I just dont understand why the Left is pushing this Universal crap so hard!

In a hypothetical situation:

A nordicist (believes in superiority of White nordic race) who despite his/her beliefs, believes war is never the way and tries to avoid it.

or

Someone who believes all races are equal, but views war as a necessary occurence and is prone to being quick to use force.

Who would you choose and why? I'd choose the first because I care more about ACTIONS in a leader than I do their personal beliefs.

Did everyone see Gidget's, oh I mean Sally Fields rant about wars and moms on the emmy's?

"If mothers ran the world their would be no (expletive) wars!"

P.S. Matriarchial societies have MORE wars not less in history.

Well it looks like the liberals have another hero to go with:

-Cindy Sheehan who longs for communism as she meets with her hero Hugo Chavez

-Ted Kennedy, mr. roll his car when drunk and kill his girlfriend

-John Kerry who lied about his wartime record and threw away his medals because he hates the U.S.

-Jane Fonda and her love and support of the Viet Cong.

-Michael Moore who rails against the healthcare system but goes to an expensive resort to lose weight in florida

-Rosie O"Donnell who says "anyone with a gun should be in jail," but has her bodyguard get a gun permit.

-Al Gore who talks about global warming but runs his mansion wasting electricity and having an entourage of people with planes to pollute the atmosphere.

Hypocrites?
Yes!

If the war is all about oil, then why have we seen no benefits in this area? Why are we not paying 50 cents a gallon for gas?

We are loosely controling a country that is supposed to be sitting on one of the largest untapped oil deposits on the planet.

So why does the price of gas do nothing but increase?

but did you see it? What do you think? Is the Bush Administration low enough to use your sons and daughters for a hostile corporate takeover of a country?

What do you think of universal coverage in other countries when it has led to higher rates of women dying from cancer?

What happens when you repeal tax cuts, raise taxes by 110 billion, increase costs to large businesses, and subsidize small businesses? Anybody heard of inflation? How about employee wages? Will they go up or down while businesses are simultaneously forced to increase employee benefits while paying higher taxes? Let me guess, another minimum wage increase. Why don't we just let Hillary determine how much all businesses can charge for goods, what their profits can be, and how much they have to pay employees? Better yet, why don't we just let China take over our government?

Has our culture's buying into tabloid-think and tabloid-talk taken our eyes off the prize?

Clinton was involved in the juiciest GONE-PUBLIC sex scandal ever in the White House. But when things went as well as they did nationally and internationally during Clinton's presidency -- peace, prosperity, subzero deficit -- isn't the scandal talk really irrelevant?

Shouldn't all this celeb scandal sheet thinking be wiped clean, when we are considering Hilary's run for office?

Please try and answer this in a spirit of fair play and bipartisanship.

So if healthcare is your issue, why not just elect Romney, since he not only came up with the idea first but implemented it?

I'm not saying I agree with Romney's plan, I'm just saying gee, if healthcare is your issue, why vote for Hillary if her idea is just to do nationwide what Romney has already done in Mass?

and he was discussing Hillary's new health care plan. He referred to it as being fascist. What are you're feelings?

I just popped onto his web site and here's what he wrote:

HILLARY'S HEALTH CARE PLAN DUE TODAY
She's at it again, folks. Hillary Rodham is going to give us all of the details for her grand plan to bring the United States into line with the rest of the socialized medicine world.
Rodham will tell us that her plan is going to cost around $110 billion a year. That's a lie ... and she knows it's a lie. Take a look at every medical-related spending program out there, from Medicare on .. and you'll find that the politicians who brought us these programs flat-out lied when they told us how much they would cost. Hillary's $110 billion a year will become $300 billion an year and more before her husband makes his next conquest.
Make no mistake. Every single politician in Washington knows that the surest way to make affordable health care available to every single American is through the private sector. They know that eliminating the regulations that stifle competition, and getting rid of insurance mandates that drive up the cost of even the most basic policies would bring millions of the uninsured back into the ranks of the fully insured. They know that giving individuals the same tax treatment for buying their own health insurance policies that their employers get providing those policies for them would solve much our problem with the uninsured. The know all of these things .. .but they also know one more very important fact. With every private sector solution introduced into our health care system politicians and government lose power ... and that just cannot be permitted.
The goal of these politicians is not to bring you health care. Their goal is to make you more dependent on government ... and them.

What are your feelings and do you agree with Neal Boortz? If not, please feel free to elaborate.

Does this influence his "report?"
*************************************
"Petraeus expressed interest in presidency"

Sep. 13- The US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, expressed long-term interest in running for the US presidency when he was stationed in Baghdad, according to a senior Iraqi official who knew him at that time.

Sabah Khadim, then a senior adviser at Iraq's Interior Ministry, says General Petraeus discussed with him his ambition when the general was head of training and recruitment of the Iraqi army in 2004-05.

"I asked him if he was planning to run in 2008 and he said, 'No, that would be too soon'," Khadim, who now lives in London, said.

General Petraeus has a reputation in the US Army for being a man of great ambition. But General Petraeus's open interest in the presidency may lead critics to suggest that his own political ambitions have influenced him in putting an optimistic gloss on the US military position in Iraq

Better for the Politicians that way, then they can get on with the job of ruining peoples spirits. So lucky the people of Britain whilst they work hard for the incoming bills, they have enough spare time left over to watch Coronation street and moan about the immigrants robbing the Crown jewels.

For those who think Politics is boring The headlining acts are Labour and Conservative, both dedicated followers of fashion.
