Really - WHAT great thing came of your protest?

Would all that energy be better spent in SUPPORT of our Military and our Country?

They feel better about themselves for supporting the enemy. The terrorists use videos of their protests to boost their ego.

These 1960s bra burning dimwits accomplished making it known how friggin' crazy they are.

I believe the Bill of Rights does give the individual the right to speak freely, it does not mean others have to pay for the idiocy.

I personally would prefer to keep the war front on foreign soil. I'd rather not see car bombs going off in "anytown USA". And as far as I am concern, the more irreverent and asinine the Pink Poodles become, the more the mainstream population see how absolutely crazed they are.

As it was once said, "keep your mouth shut and keep them guessing, open your mouth and remove all doubt." I have no doubt these people are barking moonbats. Never did. Sheehan, Soros, et.al, while having an apparent influence over the current crop of DNC presidential hopefuls indicate that on the left side of aisle, insanity is contagious.

RLP: The naivete of the protestors continues to astound me, but I have noted that many people simply get a feel of being accepted by getting into a large crowd of people claiming some cause. I've even seen evidence of people that go from protest to protest with no clue of what they are supporting or rejecting as a part of that crowd and often being in protests that have opposing views. It seems they feel otherwise rejected by society and that's the only place they can fit in.

I do have to admit, that although I know they were planning the protest (and obviously it occurred) I have no idea how many people showed up (5?, 50?)

Unfortunately the safety and security we enjoy here in the US has led some people to believe that the whole world is basically a nice place and there are no evil people out there. They stick their collective heads in the sand, when someone like me comes along and points out that terrorists want to KILL them just because they aren't trying to kill me.

They refuse to accept the truth that terrorists are killing innocent children and unarmed civilians every day and reiterate the enemy's propaganda that somehow those atrocious acts are the fault of the US, despite the fact that the US Military and government is constantly risking life and limb to try to stop the terrorists from killing civilians while the enemy targets them.

9/11 may go down as AQ's biggest blunder and their best strategy may be to never again attack on US soil, for the American people seem to be awakened to the threat when it occurs here, but ignores it when it occurs elsewhere. Still, they are unlikely to understand this and will continue to attempt to attack us here. Fortunately our military continues its success overseas though. It continues to deny the enemy safe havens and training grounds. It continues to keep sufficient numbers of the enemy tied up so that our law enforcement can catch the few that come here to attack us at home.

2. Asked Cindy Sheehan to marry me.
3. Poured an oily substance on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.

6. Smoked some weed.
7. Refilled my Valtrex prescription
8. Added a new cooler to my mother's basement (where I live).
9. Burned an American Flag
10. Spit on a veteran

that's the reason, Vietnam delivered conflict protests to new levels and George W. Bush's unlawful and immoral invasion and occupation of Iraq has stirred American emotions lower back to levels no longer seen because of the fact that ingredient of nationwide turmoil. Bush's conflict delivered Jane Fonda out of antiwar retirement and his Presidency has split this usa down the middle right into a classification conflict of authentic vs. left, liberal vs. conservative, partisan vs. patriot. As with the protests against the Vietnam conflict, the two factors pay a numbers pastime. The protesters say greater desirable than a hundred,000 streamed into Washington's nationwide Mall. Police and professional-conflict types say it became into much less. yet one ought to declare the count quantity that mattered is a controversy of checklist: actual American anger against Bush conflict that emerged final November while electorate tossed out the corrupt and compliant Republican management of Congress and demanded an end to the Iraq conflict.

It seems to me that supporting the military and our country does not necessarily equate to supporting the current leadership. Leaders come and go but the military and America will always be here.

The protest did nothing except maybe open a few more people's eyes.

The war protesters are attempting to solve what they view as a problem. Like it or not, they are more active in this democracy than someone who sits on the sidelines and does nothing. Equating disapproval with this war with hatred for the troops and a lack of patriotism does nothing advance the debate.

A true patriot leads. He doesn't follow blindly...

Whether you agree with their politics or not, at least they are willing to hit the streets to fight for their beliefs.

I don't care if people agree with me or not. My opinions are my opinions, their opinions are theirs, and yours are yours. Disagree with me? Tell me why. I would prefer honest debate to thinly veiled insults any day.

Marilyn A - Freedom of speech, the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances are all rights guaranteed by the Constitution/Bill of Rights. Every soldier swore an oath to protect and defend that document. Whether they personally agree with what is being said or where it is being said is irrelevant.

Protesting what you don't believe in is the American Way and a vital part of the democratic process. Taking part in that process is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Using your obtuse logic you shouldn't vote in 2008 because when your conservatives lose you will not have accomplished anything.

Well, they made themselves look like complete idiots in front of America, the world, and even the Islamofascists.

They're all laughing at us now. Why? Because we aren't even united ON FIGHTING TERRORISM!

But hey, that's alright. They're protected by the 1st Amendment to sound and look like idiots.

Scubadog hit the nail on the head when he said that they're the U.S.A.'s worst enemy.

Unfortunately, he's right.

They managed to solidify my belief that they are perhaps the worst enemy that America has. I feel they are every bit as dangerous to our way of life as the raidical Muslims are.

They also managed to make complete idiots of themselves by their reckless behavior. But....We already knew that much about them.

They may have demonstrated to the world that Americans have the right to protest government policies. You never can tell how that information will be received and processed by someone living in a less free country, and you never can tell what she/he will do with the ideas that form in her/his mind as a result.

I suspect they will have accomplished mixed results.
