I keep hearing (mostly from conservatives attacking liberals/democrats) that people like Obama, Clinton, and Edwards want socialized medicine in the US.

I've checked, and I don't see them saying they want socialized medicine. So where did this come from?

Is this just propaganda? Genuine ignorance? or something else?

They're funding a ballot initiative in California to split the electoral votes instead of winner take all. Why no concern for fairness to Texas voters, since that is where they're from anyway?

According to the convention, all the terroists we are currently giving good care to in Gitmo could be taken out and summarily shot. We need give them no trial, lawyers etc. Come to think of it, I wish we would. I'd donate the ammo.

The Gaza militants like to shoot missles at Israel. It's lots of fun, right? And it's difficult for the Israelis to retaliate specifically against those who are doing the shooting. So what should the Israelis do? They could flatten the neighborhoods that host rocket attacks. This would take care of the problem but would also kill thousands of innocent civilians. So that's not very civilized.

So the Israelis would like to respond by cutting electricity to Gaza instead. Israel supplies about half of Gaza's electricity directly from its own lines. Kinda strange, huh? Supplying electricity (at this point basically for free) to your worst enemy. But I digress. Anyway, no, cutting the electricity would be totally unacceptable says Amnesty International. What does Amnesty International say about shooting rockets into civilian populations? You tell me, Amnesty International. What should the Israelis do?

In recent days, NBC, CNN, and Fox News have all aired reports or discussed the case of Norman Hsu, who The Wall Street Journal suggested may have funneled illegal campaign contributions to Sen. REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - Disgraced Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu was a wanted man again after he failed to show up for a court date Wednesday and a judge issued a new warrant for his arrest.

Prosecutors said they suspected Hsu fled the country then. But a few years ago, Hsu re-emerged in New York as an apparel executive and a wealthy benefactor of Democratic causes and candidates. They included presidential contenders Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose campaign designated Hsu a "HillRaiser" — a title given to top donors.

Conservatives get that the world is not a fair place, so they fight dirty and 'get theirs', and then blame everyone else for not making things fair

Liberals want the world to be a fair place, so they fight fair and 'open source' the solutions, but there are too many conservatives around fighting dirty and taking advantage for change to ever truly take place

Currently, on the frontpage of Drudge Report (famous as the website that broke the story that Bill Clinton had an affair with a White House intern after the main$tream media covered it up), it says "Fred picks Leno over Foxnews debate" and "They can watch my ad."

The stories linked are:
http://www.dailynews.com/ci_6797251?source=rss
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070905/D8RF2U5G0.html

So, the abortionist lobbyist and trial lawyer (see http://www.conservativesbetrayed.com/gw3/articles-latestnews/articles.php?CMSArticleID=1827&CMSCategoryID=19 ) is afraid that he'll be hurt if he has to debate other candidates and risk being exposed as a phony.

Is he not participating because he doesn't want to end up being exposed as a RINO just like Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and John McCain?

You do know there are no limits to this war and no deadlines, no real goals being fulfilled in this war don't you? No real goals have been met as to this day and there is no end in sight as to when they will be met and our troops will pull out of Iraq. Our military is already stretched to the max and stressed. And, this war isn't cheap, it is costing our children's future education, infrastructure security, border security and port security. It is also costing us our rights with the surveillance and wire tapping of American citizens going on. So, what do you think the long term consequences will be to this never ending war? Do you think it will overall positive or negative on the country? Since we know that Iraqis are fighting al qaeda themselves, don't you think our job is done there? What exactly is our purpose for being in Iraq now? What are the consequences, psychological and physical on our soldiers who are now serving 18 month and longer over in Iraq for 2 or 3 times?
