This stereotypical question shows you lack any intelligence of your own. I will call out trolls from both sides.

Well, I guess it all comes down to how you see intelligence. If you are the type that is impressed by a lot of theory professed by lot of academics then I can understand why you would think this.
On the other hand there are people who have actually done something. Actually had successful careers outside of government service and have real hands on experience with life.
I have found in my long and successful life the following bit of wisdom that I will share with you, tuition free:
Going to college can get you some knowledge; but real wisdom requires experience. Most of your academics have never worked a day in their lives.
Everything looks pretty good on paper.

And how do you come by that ridiculous thought? I've got two degrees. How many do you have? I earned my Masters with a 4.0 and an invitation to the honor society of my profession. You? The first liberal doesn't even understand the question, too many big words, I guess. Yet, he's supposed to be more intelligent than I. Like the man said, "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

It seems that way now, I agree. But apparently, years ago, conservatives were intelligent. Check one of these youtube videos and you'll see what I mean.
Ronald Reagan, A time for choosing

Ronald Reagan on socialized medicine (long, but you can quickly see, it's an intelligent discussion, as if he thought his audience was intelligent):

All I know is that Liberals do not get elected in this country if they run as who they are. That's why they tone down their liberalism at election time. Conservatives win when they run as Conservatives.

Yeah, great. Another helpful name-caller.
I call out this hateful nonsense when conservatives do it. I'll call it out on the other side, too.
Forget "getting along". Can't we all just ask and answer like we have brains?

That was a mandate by the Party leadership back in '01. The email was supposed to be deleted, but they forgot to use an RNC computer that time...
To the poster above me, I don't know that you want to start a discussion about "staying the course" on failed programs...

Is it intellect that keeps social programs alive, whether they meet their goals or are complete failures?
What is that called?
Ah, yes, it's called being emotional, not intellectual.
I think us conservatives are very much on the intellectual page of almost every single issue.
Liberals are superior at name calling when facts get in their way.
