As Nixon said, Thompson is a Dumb@$$. Not to mention lazy. He would just be a continuation of the Bush Regime, only worse.

Maybe. I'll give President Bush this much: He believes most of what he says and does. No matter how delusional that may make him, it still makes him a lot more sincere than Thompson. Thompson is not entering this race because he's got some grand political vision. He's not doing it because he's a "Clean up Washington" Outsider, much as he'd like you to forget all the lobbying and years spent getting rich in the Capitol.

He's running because he sees the party crying out for Ronald Reagan again, and he think he can fool everyone into believing that he's him. He's running because, like always, he's an opportunist.

The only people less sincere than Fred in the race are Hillary and Romney. I'm not voting for any of them, unless two of them are facing each other.

I think Thompson will be Mitt Romney's running mate, gets the south in the Republican side.

Hmmm. I was not considering Thompson that strongly but after seeing the ad hominem attacks by democrats, he must be stronger than I thought.

Note to self: Take a good hard look at Fred Thompson. Seems to shake up the liberals quite a bit.

Fred Thompson is lazy, was a so-so Senator, a lobbyist, an actor, someone who can't make up his mind what he wants to do. He waited so long to announce his candidacy that fund raising is going to be an issue. I am not so sure I want such an indecisive person as president. Say what I do about Bush I will admit he is decisive. Wrong, but decicive nevertheless.

Scarier than Bush? About as scary as Arnold and Ronald. About as smart. And certainly the typical Conservative hero.

No, the most scary thing that could happen to us is to have some weak liberal that has no regard and disdain for the military, and doesn't understand business is good for America, and the New World Order is nothing more than making the UN get off its duff and actually do something.

I don't know quite why, but, I am suspicious of a hollywood actor of his age as being strong enough intellectually to be able to manage a cabinet and the incredibly complex issues facing America today.

Yes because he is a replacement for him. The Bush controllers (Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld) like actors and idiots. They are easy to control. This way they can just feed them the lines and they will read them. Not caring what the consequences are.
