And yet they are the ones that have the most children of their own disregarding the option of adopting these children that they fight so hard to bring into the world. Do they just pick and choose the parts of the Bible that are convenient for them?

People who are pro-life, what constitutes life? Only point I will add is, if you say it is because of the potential for a life, then I would say the fact that every fertile woman in the world isn't pregnant every second that she can be letting a potential life be murdered, or aborted metaphorically.

Since he entered a plea of guilty, and such a plea entry is made under oath (as stated on the paperwork he signed at the time of the entry of his plea), and he is now saying he is not guilty... doesn't that mean he committed perjury?

I think if this plan works it won't be long before American truckers will be forced to try to find work elsewhere.

Earlier this year, Congress ordered the Department of Transportation to launch a pilot program to study whether opening the U.S.-Mexico border to all trucks could be done safely.

The Teamsters and Sierra Club argued in their court papers the program proposed by the administration won't yield statistically valid results and the public wasn't given ample opportunity to comment.

"This is just more deceit from the Bush administration," said Teamsters President Jim Hoffa, who said he was skeptical of administration claims that Mexican truck drivers will be tested for drug and alcohol use.

"How can that be when there are no drug testing labs in Mexico?" Hoffa asked.

In a way, we should all be appreciative of Senator Larry Craig’s post-conviction claim of innocence. At long last we have a member of the United States Senate who has acknowledged the phenomenon of the false guilty plea, if not the pervasiveness of wrongful conviction itself. Or better yet, by insisting he did "nothing wrong" despite violating a statute, Craig may have finally expressed doubt in the laws that lawmakers have rained down on us. Viewed in their worst light, the allegations made against Craig hardly seem to rise to the level of criminal conduct. Yet Craig’s guilty plea to disorderly conduct charges will prevent him from formally appealing the conviction and will likely haunt him for the rest of his life."

The climate is changing - It really does not matter who what or why - The climate is changing and that means a reallocation of resources is slowly happening

All scientist agree the planet is getting hotter - They do not agree on how or why - or possible projections for the future - But they do all say Yes it is getting warmer

The political strife that is going on all says a war ( a big one) is more than possible and more likely now than it has been in the past 50 years

Nuclear weapons oil supplies food and water and weather all mix in to a potentially deadly broth.

Terror stalks the US and econiomic disaster is not out of the question

So are we likely going to see the war to end all wars (for real this time) in our life time ?

You claim that the government isn't listening to conversations that aren't about terrorism.

How does the government know, before it listens in on your phone call, what the call is going to be about? Crystal ball? Tarot cards? Dionne Warwick?

For those of you who don't support the war but "support the troops". How can you say that? Isn't that the same as saying "I don't support hitler but I support the nazi soldiers"? They chose to be there, we have an all volunteer army. And if they really truly had some moral objection to killing woman and children they would simply not go. The common qliche of " the just do what they are told" . Is just away of no holding them responsible or accountable for what they are doing.

I signed up with no incentive other than to serve.

They argue how the war kept Iraq from wiping the US off the face of the planet. Yet, it takes $40,000 to get them to sign up and do anything about it.

Cheney goes to the NSA and says, “I need to see a few transcripts on this person. He may be a sleeper”. NSA taps the guy and later gives Cheney the transcripts. Turns out, the person in question is a contract sales guy for a Haliburton competitor. He is setting up a contract to sale Egypt widgets. Cheney now has inside info on this company. There is no judge to follow-up so Cheney/Bush have nothing to fear. Haliburton goes to the Egyptian company and under bids the competitor due to inside info.

What have we ever gotten worth talking about without a fight? Needed to get away from England--we fought.
Needed to keep the country from splitting--we fought
Needed to get rid of slavery--we fought
Needed to kick some Nazi @$$--we fought
Now we need to keep terroist from trampeling on this country and we fight.

1 If we don't cripple those who want to hurt us how will we stop them?
2 Could the president have been more honest if this country had more of a stomach for what needs to be done? Could we have gone in with the honest idea that we need to set a tone that the US will not get kicked around ?
