What would have happened in WWII if we'd said "Hey, Hitler, guess what? We'll remove our forces from Europe on this date...mark it on your calendar!"

The U.S.has laws against wiretapping without warrants.

The Geneva Convention was as much a directive of the United States.

But now some feel it's Ok to use torture if your opponent uses torture.

I thought the U.S. held itself to a higher standard and was trying to promote humanitarian superiority!?!?!

What happened to our moral authority and being a shining example of the way humanity should be?!?!?!

There are many reports that women and children were also tortured and raped at Abu Ghraib.

How can anyone be proud of the Bush administration?

They have disgraced our great country!!

Why is this acceptable to some of you?

TRIPOLI, Libya (Reuters) -- After agreeing to nuclear cooperation with Libya, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said the West should trust Arab states to develop such technology for peaceful purposes or risk a war of civilizations.

France agreed on Wednesday to help Libya develop a nuclear reactor to supply drinking water from desalinated sea water. The reactor might be supplied by French atomic energy firm Areva.

Sure, now it is only cigars. Next it will be anything the Congress considers a luxury. And yes, Gorge H.W. Bush was wrong then. How many jobs were lost? Who do you people think makes those luxury items? Fairies?

Keith Olbermann - probably take them to a ball game and then to some type of amusement park afterwards.

National Security in the U.S is it Nazis without Racism but has focus on security instead. if people are killed for reasons of control primarily are there similarities to Nazis in World War 2 . also primary security agency called NSA in this country which claims this essential. should it be called that as letters could stand for something else even in other language. National Socialist Agency. also could Nazis be similar if they adjusted their stance and jettisoned swastikas and went with National Security image.is this what this natinion has just a hidden more benign form of Nazism centred by a nation and a different supremacy this nation over others by war.are not nationilstic tendencies and an us against them idea very similar.

have and no minumum government protection for their citizens heatlh, retirement and enviroment supposed to help our economy and how is it supposed to raise our wages much less make it a level playing field were we can compete with all the tax we have to pay, because the superrich in our country do not really pay 34% tax, not after all the deductions and corparate welfare they get both directly and indirectly.?

Assuming Hilary wins the 2008 presidential election doesn't it seem like it would be a bad thing to have two families controlling the executive branch for 24-28 years?

Personally I think it would be disastrous. Isn't it time to mix things up a bit in Washington?
