Assuming Hilary wins the 2008 presidential election doesn't it seem like it would be a bad thing to have two families controlling the executive branch for 24-28 years?

Personally I think it would be disastrous. Isn't it time to mix things up a bit in Washington?

Lil'D, I'm glad that you vote for candidates based on where they stand, but doesn't it seem strange that we should keep getting candidates from such a small pool of people? I don't think it bodes well for democracy, it has the appearance of pseudo-royalty.

Yes what is this fascination with what seems almost like America has these rolling monarchies. It sort of exposes the American voter as one who does not have confidence in its candidates. It's not only families either. It's like it's assumed that when a president nominates his vice president that that vice president will ultimately be the candidate for presdient when that president finishes their 2 terms......

I usually don't answer political questions in a forum such as this but your question is very well stated. I do not know what political party you are with but I am pretty sure that this country is tired no exhausted of the republican party. Recent polls state that the republican party is decreasing more and more each day. One reason is our troops and their families. We need a change and at this point and time I do not see any exceptional candidate out there. In terms of qualifications Hilary is the most qualified at the time. But remember we have more then a ear before the election and anyone may throw their hat in the ring. Weather this country is ready for a female president is going to be the bigger question. I think her experience being the 1st lady will help her be a better president then the average politician, I am sure on more then one occasion she advised Bill strongly on political issues. So with that said I believe yes Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton will occur. Whatever happens please god don't let it be Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton-Bush. I think I'll move to another country if another Bush gets in there again

Well, as Hilary said, "I don't even think Bush should've been elected in 2000."

I would like to mix things up myself, though too. But I don't think it would be disastrous (maybe just a little Anti-American.) But I think Hilary is capable of fixing the problems created by Little Bush, and not creating anymore severe damage.

Definitely a pattern to it isn't there. I am surprised you didn't bring up the NAU and the ultimate goal of the Bush/Clinton regime. Yes lets mix it up and mess their plans up. Google the NAU for more info.

This might sound crazy but I actually care about where presidential candidates stand on the issues rather than judge them on what family they come from.

George bush senior didn't mess much up. Bill clintons was a liar. George W. Bush has a stupid policy on illegal immigrants and made some mistakes in Iraq. Hillary clinton will lead america to H-ll. So yes we do need some change. I would like to see Newt run.

NO! Time to break that chain. No need to elect a socialist.

I'm beginning to think it isn't a very good idea. Please remember the election isn't for awhile. The only constant is change.
