It seems our govt. here in the US is incompetent. From our income taxes going to the federal reserve to pay off interest for the debt the govt. spent all the way to illegal immigration. It seems like politics today in the US is not about what the people want but what the politicans want according to their views or what works out best for them. Our politicians like Clinton and Kerry who claim to be part of the "party for the people" are both very wealthy and went to elite schools. How can people who grew up rich know what it is like to be poor. The republicans come straight out and tell us which team they are playing for like when bush told a group of oil company CEO's they were his base at a fundraiser. Our democracy isn't about who works for the people and has the best idea for society but who has the most money and who is the best liar. I was once a republican but now i just sit back and wonder how long until things really start to get bad. What do you guys think.

when it comes to being poor? The blame should be put on all of the legislature form many years back to current day. The reason why the poor are getting poorer is that we are a society of debt and the debt comes with a huge pricetag. People without much money use their Credit cards get behind on payments and the system is set up so that when they are over limit and missing payments things get even worse. I mention Credit cards but its the same for sub prime lenders for homes people are getting finacially killed because of outrageous interest rates. You want to do better financially? Elect some people with some balls to take on these creditors preditory practices. OR Stay the heck away from debt

It seems to me that's the only way to stop all this debate about immigration. Seriously, I'm sure we've got enough tanks, and troops, tanks, jets and crap like that left over from Iraq and Afganistan to run through Mexico like crap through a goose. I don't see the problem, they all seem to want to be Americans pretty bad anyway. May as well make it official

Everything the Republicans have done for 6 years has been on disaster after another except for the HUGE Oil Corp Profits they have orchestrated so well,

America knows that all future Republican presidencies will be even HIGHER levels of Bushco.

Can we afford that?

As an Iraqi, i can categorically state that pakistani, bangladeshi and indian muslims or their offspring living in the UK have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with Iraq! They are not connected to Iraqis, Ethnically, Linguistically, Culturally, Historically, socially or in terms of physical appearance.

The reason these British muslims of south asian origin (as well as Somalis, Eritreans, Sudanese etc) involve themselves in Iraq are for the following reasons:

1. As a result of frustration at having utterly failed as immigrant communities in the UK. Consider, some of the highest rates of unemployment, percentage of prison population etc, lowest standards of education and integration etc...in contrast to the success of Poles, Jews, Middle Eastern Christians,Greeks..

2. An inherent intolerance in their culture and religion towards, Criticism and other religions, 1400 years of persecution against non muslims in the islamic world, the Rushdie Affair and the Danish Carton issue prove this!

This is an offshoot of a question I just asked a little while ago..

Would like to know what the following political descriptions mean...

Populist
Centrist
Neo-Con
Libertarian
Marxist

If you know just one or all, a brief (or however long you want) description and an example of a person who would fit the description would be great.

Trying to become more educated. Thanks so much!

i strongly believe that some somewhere down the line the Liberals will betray this country and stab every decent American in the back. they already declared war on every moral human being in the US. if those Liberals get their way we as a nation are facing annihilation but not to worry my friends WE know how to take care of business.

Free speech is our first ammendment right. Talk Radio gives many the chance to express their opinion on how our government is working. Do you thik it is right for the congress to bring forth legislation to ban talk Radio? Why?

An army of occupation has to be totally ruthless. That means you don't arm the people you're trying instill fear into. All the 'training' the Bush Junta is responsible for has turned out to be worthless. We're in Iraq to dominate it by establishing a Vichy Iraq puppet government and back it up with US military might. Why not just admit that? There is no real nation of Iraq, so why pretend that there is?

First, there must be a Palestinian state. Any displaces people should be given a home of thier own. This may not be pleasant early on for the Israelis, but it would pay enormous dividends in the long term.

Also, Jerusalem must become an international city - belonging to no one. It is, after all, a spiritual center for all the Abrahamic faiths. It should be a city that is policed by a very large international peacekeeping force.

I think some radical change must happen for the various sides in this conflict to get along.

Will continuing to do what has been done for decades now do anything?

ok for you fools who didnt see the report how about looking it up.

Fact: O'Reilly claimed more than once that American troops were the perpetrators of the Malmedy Massacre when in fact they were the victims. That guy is a sick twisted “human” with zero scruples about twisting the truth to promote a republican agenda (wow big shock there).

I’m hopeful that some of you conservatives would search for the facts yourselves about Malmedy, and O’Reillys comments on it BEFORE you post unless you think you dont need to fact check and prove my point about not being willing to question news programs you enjoy watching.
